Does anyone else find themselves consumed with taming babies even when you are supposed to be doing something else!

Everytime I see spawns on the radar I MUST check it out ....and if there is a baby I am compelled to tame it in hopes of finding a new Special!

Its like CRACK......the build up of anticipation after a tame just before I hit CTRL D and click on the baby.

My mates are starting to get annoyed because I am always wandering off to tame something.....

The Devs have turned me into an annoying pet that wanders everywhere except where you tell it to!!

The other night I wandered into a night sister camp while following a reptilian flier baby....They did not greet me with open arms.

I swear the game knows when I'm heading back to town to logout. I was 1k away from Bestine last night around midnight when I decided I needed to get some sleep. I didn't make it back until 1:30am because of all the babies I came across.

Yes I notice this myself. It is a real pain with that 15 sec timer too. I am trying with my NCH to learn an ability and I have to stop every few kills to put it away so I can tame the babies to see if they have a new ability I need.

with my MCH I have dropped back to leveling 2 at a time so I have space to do the tames without waiting on the recall of the 3rd pet.

I have the addiction and the bad part is it is coupled by a second addiction, mount taming, training and selling...everyone wants a mount. I have managed to set a price of 80k for a customized mount through auction. A guy lost track of the auction and no is asking me if I have another one availble he would be interested....man money, babies, taming, training....AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

My head just exploded

Oh man I do stuff like that all the time ... If I was a pilot they would say I have ABSOLUTLY NO "situational awareness"!!

/absolutlyagree

Tried to log off at 2 am this morning and due to the immediate spawn of babies, it was 3:15 before i made it back to the science outpost to log off

I think someone should have had the decency to tell me the luncheon was free. To make someone run out with eopie pie in his hand, pretending he's throwing up, is not what I call hospitality.

I have pretty good situational awareness unfortunatly SOE has a laggy game and I often find that when I stop to look around that some really nasty red dots spawn around me. They spawn yellow first then switch to red. Very annoying.

Baby tamingaddiction is an occupational hazard of the creature handler.

There are so many of them out there just pleading to be put on your datapad.

It's so bad that I feel guilty about killing babies at any time. They're there to be tamed, even if my datapad is full and there are no other CHs around.

Agreed! Totally addicted to this now! Running BH missions, village quests to unlock FS slots, running to harvestors, if I see a baby I have to stop and give it a try. The only thing saving me now is I limit myself to 3 new pets with abilities to level up and learn from before releasing them and finding others and I am at that limit now. The rest of my pets I want to keep, level up and train with the new abilities.
