Hey guys I am on Ahazi server. I just got me a giant Peko Peko. lvl 25 and it has Hamstring L1. I didn't destroy the lair if anyone else wants to check it out. Here is the waypoint: 2321, -3532. It is near the Emperor's Retreat. Send a /tell to Silky' if you want to see him.
OOOOclicky

Was it a specific Giant Peko Peko lair or was it just a nest that both the normal Peko Peko and Giant Peko Peko spawn from?

I picked up my Giant Peko Peko (baby) on Kauri a few days ago from a group of random spawns between Theed and Kadara. I don't know what I am going to do with it, but I couldn't pass up taming such a big bird

I don't know if they're rare, but they are not common. Far easier to find a peko peko (baby) than a giant peko peko (baby).
Giant pekos appear as lairless spawns and at nests, sometimes with regular pekos (the pattern is two giants and one, two, or three regulars) and sometimes just as two giants guarding the nest.
WORD OF CAUTION: attacking a regular peko or a giant peko near a peko peko albatross MAY result in the alb aggroing on you, as giants and albs have social tendencies that the level 14 regulars do not have.Peko peko albs are level 81 elite critters.

Another word of caution ... I think Peko Peko Albatros may have an area attack. That is the only way I can explain riding up to just watch two guys trying to take down a Albatros (yellow dot on my radar) and having my swoop destroyed out from under me and me being sent to the cloner. This was my crafting character who is a wimp and can be incapped with one blow from just about anyone or anything! All I wanted to do was watch

Yeah Peko Peko, Krayt, Gorax, Kimogila and certain other "large" enemies all have AOE attacks now that definitely dont discriminate between attackers and bystanders.
