It is ABSOLUTELY 100% COMPLETELY impossible to macro the training of pets. (Not shouting ok maybe a little but it kinda ticks me off that the devs didnt think to code it in the game)

You don't need a macro to mount a creature. I mean, it's just one command. It's not hard to use the radial menu to train as a mount. By the wording of your post I am assuming you meant "train" instead of just mounting a pet. The only way I've found to train quickly is to make macros for each command you commonly use and use them with the toolbar. Select the command to train from the radial menu and press the appropriate toolbar button which points to a macro that says the command (or uses /tellpet). It makes training a lot faster because there is no typing.

How to make macros for training...

Write down each command in the order they appear in the radial menu. Create macros using /say command; or /tellpet command;. In other words, the macro for "Stay" would be /say stay;. The semi-colon is used to tell the macro to press Enter. Basically you're saying the command when you press the toolbar button you assign to the macro. If they are arranged in order you can go down the line with the radial menu and press the toolbar button associated with the command you're training. No typing, just pressing buttons. It's super fast.

The only ones I don't add to the toolbar are Ranged and Train As Mount, since those are rare enough to do manually. You won't be able to fit all commands on one toolbar. I use the lower toolbar for the rest, which you have to use SHIFT-F-key with.
