I was ready to hang it up after the CU, but hung in there. Yesterday's nerf convinced me I'm wasting my time. I am trully going to miss my companions that have fought along side me the last 2 years. My question is, when I drop my CH boxes, will my pets remain in my D-pad? I understand I wouldnt be able to pull them. Will they still be tradeable? Thanks for the assistance........a very sad day for me. Thanks SOE for totally ruining this outstanding proffession.

yes theystay in the pad.
And yes they can be traded out, but obviously, you wont be able to trade any back. (Your +pet mods are gone, so while they dont get deleted, you can never add new pets, regardless of any level checks that may happen on trading).
Sad day another Ch goes, but given what we now are, very understandable.
I made the desicion post CU, if it gets bad enough I dont wish to be a CH any more, the account closes.
I play to be a CH, if they want to force me into Jedi (which is how I feel the game is going if I am honest, and which, even after 2 years I truly have no wish to play-no offence to jedi players, I just do not want it myself) or another profession I do not wish to play, its just another lost account.

The higher level pets will need to know the transfer command to be tradable, so make sure they know that. Also, you can call any non-handler pets, so stack your extra slots with mounts or other companions you might want to call.

I quit about a month ago when I saw the writing on the wall. If I hadn't, publish 20 would've done me in.
May the Force Be with you.

Yes, remember to put a CL 12 pet in your Dpad in case you ever want to return.

Great idea! cl12 or cl10 for non-ch? Also are you guys saying I can stock 20 non-CH pets now, then when I drop it I will still retain them?

Well, novice CH can control CL 12, but if you want a friend as a non-CH you'll of course need CL 10.

Yes, you can stock up on CL 10 pets. Fill your pad until it is full (remember non-aggro pets!).
Keep in mind you will not be able to add or change any until you get down to the limits of a non-handler. To do so, you will have to delete almost all of your existing pets.
If you think you may return to being a Creature Handler one day, having a few staggered levels of pets is a great suggestion, as you can start using them as your max pet level increases.
