Thread: Question Non-CH mounts?

Probably a dumb question.

How do i go about getting a mount (as a non-CH)?

I understand that only a couple creatures can be used as mounts. I've been looking around and haven't been able to find anything on the topic that answers my question.

Do i have to buy a creature first, then get it trained?

Or is it possible to buy a creature(deed)already useableas a mount?

Do the creatures have to be a certain level for a non-CH to use?

Lvl 10 is max lvl
BE's can make deeds of mountable pets
CH's train them as mounts at a certain lvl

Some CH's may have mounted pets rdy for sale if you can find one

Pets take a short while to grow

Most BE mountable creatures are too small to mount. But if you DO look for a mountable critter in the bazaar, don't go in for that CL8 20K crap, none of it's worth while and their just newbie BE critters that should have been thrown away. The only mountable BE pets that I know are Bantha, Dewback, and probubly Bol. Though, they would most likely have to be CL10. Just ask for a CH's assistance if you want a mount, tamed critters make better mounts for non-CH anyway.

Currently, there appear to be only 32 of the mountable pets that a BE can make that will grow large enough to be mounted at CL 10. All others must have a higher CL (making them CH only mounts).

Wild tamable non-CH creatures that can be mounted are:

  • Dwarf Bantha

  • Carrion Spat

  • Motly Kaadu

  • Lesser Plains Bol

  • Lesser Dewback

  • Lowland Brackaset

  • Plodding Falumpaset

  • Cu Pa

BE mountables that can be made into non-CH mounts now are:

  • Brackaset

  • Dewback

  • Falumpaset

Note that the BE mounts must be CL 10 exactly now or they cannot be made into mounts... they just come out too small. Conversely, some of these end up too large to be made into mountsif the CL is too high.

Note: CL 10 Brackasets have been found to be too small to be mountable.

THIS IS MISINFORMED RUBBISH
im a master creature handler master bounty hunter on bloodfin i also have a alt that is a bio engineer - what is this tamed critters being better than bio engineered comment all about ???
I can make two critters as a bio eng that are currently mountable by non ch falumpasets and dewbacks mine are level 10 with just over 3000 health & 250 damage how and in what way is the 1700 health non ch wild critters better than that ?? Id like to know this and before people mention health regen rates they are better also.
My advise as mch bio eng is if u want a dewy or falumpasets go to a bio engineer if you want any of the other mounts available to non ch go to a creature handler and hire him to find u one. I have done this many times for people.
Before you post negative comments about bio engineered pets at least research your answer.

IS your Bantha CL10? Was it be made before the CU? If the answer is yes to both then great, you've got a non-ch mount. The point of this thread was to highlight the issues with non-ch mounts, any BE made pets scale according to the CL. So in some cases what should be a normal fine CL10 mount is just too small to be mountable.
