how do i train my pet in its special attacks? when i check my datapad and look at my bobcatt it says special attack 1: --- and special attack 2:--- but i dont get another option in train on my radial menu.

The CU hopelesly and needlessly broke the old special attack system, and shortly afterwards, broke the ability to train the commands. We're supposed to be getting a new system sometime soon.

So, there is no chance of the pet doing the special on it's own? You actually have to train it and tell it to do so?

Iconic professions. Ok. Chewbacca was a Scout. How come that didn't stay?

When you think about it, aren't almost all of the original professions iconic? You can find something on each of them in the Expanded Universe.

I miss being a Ranger. It was more than a profession, it was a virtual way of life. It wasn't for everyone. But those who took it up became family.

Nope, no chance.

And it's not likely any time in the future. The devs blew some smoke up our arses with a very smuggler-revampesque "oh, we're working on a super duper new specials system, just shut up for a while and wait and all your dreams will be fulfilled" post, but well, we've seen promises like those before.

Even the old pre-CU pets that knew special attacks cannot use them. All it does is act like a regular attack command.

I wouldn't hold your breath Orb, I was told about this change in march.
