Thread: Any workarounds to get back to pulling?
RobinOsaka wrote:Ok, now that we have fully understood the horror have the latest CH bashing - the aggro on the CH himself -, aren't there any workarounds? Other ways to pull MOB or to keep the soloing working? Pulling with traps? With droids? I ll try out a couple of things tonight. Any ideas?
Droids use th esame code as pets , which in itself is a huge blow, to the DE profession which is already close to useless, and to the level 1 crafters who use and group with a level 30 combat droid to help clear out mobs from harvesters, as now that cannot be done on NPC's, which all tend to be social, and on most lower level planets, the most common mob to find spawned on top of harvestors.
Again, a consequence I doubt was even considered before implimenting this, and something else I got ignored, and even flamed (get bodyguards lol) for pointing out in the bug threads.

I noticed this pre-pub 20. If I had the pet attack, then used the "follow" command to pull it back, the creature would not attack again until the MOB it was originally attacking died. However, I did note that the pet still followed me, so as long as I led the pet to the MOB, it would attack. /shrug
This was my experience, too. Pre-pub 20 it was just an annoying bug, but now it may get you killed. Since you have to approach the MOB, as soon as your pet attacks. You are that much closer for a counter attack. Sneaky critters.

this really borks up CH's who has a melee profession as their combat. now i cant pull anything one at a time. i dont mind if the pet has to run all the way to the mob then come all the way back like before the CU. thats not the problem. i just dont think its fair that they force us to be a ranged profession just to pull solo mobs. all other games have some way to pull solo mobs for all professions. i think they need to redo this publish and still allow us to pull with a pet.
