Thread: I can't tame ANY pets.. help

Im a novice CH with no boxes and no further knowledge of the CH profession.
What i tried to is this: i Tried to tame a level 3 Ronto baby, but it said "You can't tame that"
then later i tried to tame all sorts of different creatures in the level range of 1-3.
Do anyone have this bugg? the solution to it? any help?

haha i did the same thing, too high of a CL for u to tame try taming something like dwarf nuna baby those are very fun

I have the same problem! I can't even tame a flewt baby, and when I examine it it says tamable:no???

There is a bug that strikes out of the blue to even master ch. I have had it myself when trying to tame narglatches and cu pa. There isn't a way round the bug except log out for over 30 mins till your character has reset on the server. Then...maybe there is a chance.
Other than that - if you try to tame anything that is an agro however low - you wont succeed as a novice till you get another box of taming. Nunas are fun - trying to find it first to target is always satisfying; training it even more so, lol. Spot the Dot.

See Oddwan's response. It's also in the FAQs, IIRC. Happened to me for the first time yesterday. Gave up on hunting ( was pretty cranky because I'd been working on my critter for nearly an hour ), left a waypoint so I could try later, went hunting, logged out.
This morning things were back to normal, and I could tame again. But that's the story of a different post.

Level 3 Ronto baby would equal something in the 30s when full grown. I'm not too sure on their wild amx level since CU as I haven't looked for any lately. If you're a novice CH with NO boxes, you should be looking for babies that are level 1, and even then, they could be anywhere up to level 19 when full grown so it still might not be possible to tame them (not to mention agro). I would recommend looking for some known level 12s to use until you move higher. The selection is rather limited until you start gaining boxes.
