I have always had trouble understanding how the taming vicious creatures mod applies in-game. I thought it applied mostly to creatures with a significant ferocity rating, but I have discovered I was wrong. My problem is I have a +45 max level of pets, and I was trying to tame a toxic merek battlelord baby. It is a level 45 creature, and it has a ferocity of 0. Unfortunately, I was not given a tame option on the baby, making me assume this is a problem with my tame vicious creatures mod. My current CH skill branch is 3/4/1/4. If someone can explain how this mod applies to a creature's attributes, I would be thankful. Or, if you simply tell me what is needed to tame a toxic merek battlelord...

Ferocity has nothing to do with the taming of a creature. A pet is either red or yellow on your radar, that tells you if the creature is an agro or non-agro. If it's agro then you need a higher tame viscious and as the TMB is a CL45 agro, you will need the highest taming level to get it. Look at the taming line & add up the tame viscious mod & you'll figure it out.

So all you need is enough points in the "tame vicious creatures" mod to match the level of an aggro creature you want to tame? Ex. To tame a lv 45 TMB, I will need +45 to tame a vicious creature since it is an aggressive creature type...??? If that is the case, it is easy to understand now. Thank you for the help...
