Yeah, I know this is a total noob post, but for some reason I can't quite seem to get an answer to it (or the answer I thought worked isn't making much since) but here we go...
With only the novice CH box, what CL can I expect to tame and what CL can I export to control?
I have a LVL 17 Swirl prong that I have been using since baby who just jumped to full grown yesterday, but now it says I don't have the skills to tame that creature. I had assumed lvl 17 was within my CL call range, am I wrong?

Look in "My Skill Mods", then "Max level of Pets". It will say you are CL 12. A level 17 creature does not exceed CL 10 till the last growth cycle.
