Hi all... First and foremost, I apologize if this subject has been beaten to death.

I am going to start Novice CH, and seeing as how your pets are considered to be one half of the combat template, what type of fighting profession do you think goes well with the Master CH? Either beneficial or adds the best advantage. A friend recommended Teras Kasi, but with CH giving the ability to wear Battle Armor, the innate in Teras Kasi seems like a waste.

I like a nice ranged profession combo... let your pet have all of the armor and defense and tank for you while you stand a bit back and blast it from a distance. I've not done any research on other combat profs's specials that might go well with CH, that's just my personal play style suggestion I'm a fan of pistols myself, and I get along great with that alongside CH, but really any ranged would do. I don't see any reason why one ranged over another would be any better/different. Just pick what you like

I like BH myself. It has decent skills and we have some overlapping pre-requisites. (Since I'm a master Scout and have FS skills, I could not master another combat profession.)

Well, for me, I went the opposite. I wanted to be close to my pets so I could heal them, so I chose MasterSwords. We do really well together! I take the aggro and my pets stay 100/100 vitality. Of course, you need medic to do it, lol.

We make a powerhouse team, though. Now that I am married, it is even better, because my husband is a master doc, so that is a cheat. (We did fine before that, though.)

Thank you all for the input. It seems that every Creature Handler i talk to has split opinions concerning ranged and melee. It's rare to see a Bounty Hunter/CH... Never considering that path.

i personally like my curentent template, in case of ranged or melee its more of a personal thing since some ppl perfer to be able to be up close with really high defence and certaing ppl perfer to have an advantage and shot from far away
