What's up with that?

I just came back to SWG 2 days ago. I respecced back to my old love Creature Handler, and nowI can't even use pets! Regular stims no longer work it seems, and I can't for the life of me find a pet stim vendor on Gorath.

Is there something I'm missing here?

Regular stims are self only now. Medic/Doc/CM heals can heal pets. Pet stimpacks (the ones that arent bugged) can heal pets too.

lol - the ones that aren't bugged, eh?

So if you can't findunbugged pet stims, then you can't heal your pets?

This probably explains why I have had no luck searching for a pet stim vendor the past 2 hours.

Thanks for the reply btw

If anyone know's of a semi-reliable pet stim vendor on gorath, please post or PM me the wp. It would be appreciated.

I've already checked the BE forum sticky post, posted on the Gorath trade forum, and have checked many shops listed under pets on the planetary maps of Naboo, Tattoine and Correlia.

Now I'm just sitting here lol. I can't use my pets without a way to heal them

Why don't you use the Bazaar, in any static city, to do a vendor search.

Its the last tab along the top of the Bazaar window. Select it, then select Galaxy wide search, and then look under Misc/Factory Crate/Pet Stim A - D.

You know I did try the bazaar, but I don't think I checked the right spot.

For what it's worth, in desperation I checked my Padawn's (who was my old MCH) bank, and did find one crate of pet stims in there. I think they are terrible, but something is betterthan nothing until I find better.

Pet stims do not have a timer unless you use a regular stim on yourself, than the 60 sec rule goes into effect. You can heal your pet with Bacta Jab or Bacta Toss and that does not count towards the 60 sec rule but you do have warm-up and cool down.

another note I have been using my pet stims from 60 meters out and painfully watche dmy cl65 cat solo a GDK ...Once you break agro your pet ussuallt hold agro from that point on very seldom does he break...So take those pets out and try an ancient and take like 2 full crates of stims with you and a book lol!!!!

The big reason you don't see pet stims (at least Stim D's), in my opinion, can be summed up in one word.....FISH. Pet Stim D's require fish to make them. It takes an EXTREMELY long time to gather enough fish to make factory runs of these stims for general sale. And if you charge for the time it takes to get the fish, few people are likely to pay the price. You could try to find stim C's if the Dathomir Insect meat is decent on your server (keep any decent Dath Insect meat you find while hunting and sell/tradeit to your local BE). But with high level pets, anything less than a Stim D is likely to be of very little value. Most people want D's in my experience.

My advice, gather a bunch of fish yourself and then contact a BE to make some stims for you. I know that I am always willing to make them if I don't have to gather the fish, or pay a fisherman (they aren't cheap and rightly so).

Since you can use multiple stims, stim D's are unnecessary. For my own use, I just make cheap stim B's with a power in the 500s, 10 of these heal a pet as well as 5 stimD's.

Ruby Bliel will reset the stim timer.
