I searched the forum for an answer to my question, but could not find anything.

Anyway, I'm a Master Creature Handler and tamed a level 69 Bio-Engineered Rancor a few days ago. I have been able to use him until today when he hit his max level of 69. Now whenever I try to call him, it gives me the message, "You lack the skill to be able to tame that creature."

I have no other pets out at the time. Why is this not working when the max level of an MCH is 70?

you'll need taming clothing in order to control that animal.

seek your local bio-engineer immediately.

Ah, okay. Wasn't wearing my taming shirt at the time, but it works now. I thought Taming Level only had to do with the success of the /tame command.

it's supposed to do just that. Back when our profession was bent over and "revamped", the devs stated that the taming/calling system would be simplified, so that we could never tame what our current level wouldn't allow us to control/call. They stated that CL70 is the limit at master, and there was never any distinguishing betweenvicious and wild animals. So, what do we do? We could ask the devs, but I guess TH stopped anwering those 19 dumba$$ questions--add the fact that most CH's just go ahead and buy the clothing +mods, and probably think it makes sense to work that way for a FREAKING MASTER CH...sheeesh--sorry, it's still a bit aggravating to me.

btw, the devs don't care, so do whatever ya like...it will not be addressed or fixed--heck, not even commented on--I've chosen to NEVER wear those +taming clothes to call a pet-- and so I haven't, but then, I'm also an MBE, so I can take all that is great about our favorite vicious animals and put'm in non-vicious cat skins--that's my way around the mistake.

after you've called the pet, do you have to leave the taming clothing on?
