I left Coronet on my speedbike in search of the Great Plains Stalker baby to tame. About 30 minutes later I saw a lone red solitary blip on my map radar. I headed in that direction and there it was just sitting there in the sun.
I had my mask sent on and was able to get within feet of him with no aggro. He got up and slowly moved along, very slow. I didn't see a baby anywhere or a lair for that matter so I killed it in hopes a baby would spawn somewhere.
I waited maybe a few minutes and another adult GPS spawned in. Again, he did not aggro me and I was within feet of him. I killed him and waited again for a baby to spawn. Nothing.
A few minutes later another adult GPS spawned in but this time I was aggroed immediately, still had mask scent on. I didn't see a baby anywhere so I attacked back. But this time I hardly did any damage, wierd. My health was dropping rapidly so I got on my speedbike and got outta there and he followed me clear across the map!!! He was relentless! He wanted me dead bad!
Finally the aggro stopped and the GPS attacked a whole mess of dire cats and killed them all. I went back later and killed the GPS and again NO BABY. the end
I got great screenshots of my fight with the Great Plains Stalker but wish i knew how to postpics. I have an idea how, maybe I will figure it out.

Funny, today was the first time I ever saw a GPSin the game. And it was the first time I intentionally went looking after one, let alone seeing and killing three adult GPS's.
Been playing for a year and occassionally traverse Corellia but not often. I just became master creature handler and decided to go look for one. First time looking I found three adults!
But still no baby, sigh.
I just had an ugly thought: What if you had found an adult GPS and killed it and you were waiting for a baby to spawn. At that moment someone shows up on aspeedbike and just sits there looking at you. A baby GPS spawns in and the stranger freaks out cuz he wants it too.
Now, here you both are , armored to the teeth with weapons drawn and you BOTH want that baby!
Time for a duel? I hope that never happens and worse case the stranger could get pissed and kill the baby and really make your day. Just a thought. Hope that bridge is never crossed.

You're going to have to get used to that....I've looked on the plains of coronet for great plains stalkers, found TEN spawns while my 3 months of looking. Not one baby, in fact several spawns ended in 3 spawns instead of four, and once the great plains stalker i was fighting vanished! Still looking for one but if you look for them, you have to be very persistant. Good luck.

i sooner would kill the baby than let some **edit** dash by and take the spawn. i could always look for another.
but that's just me.

I'm sittiing out here in the middle of no where on Corillia and I don't see nada! Not anything, much less a GPS. At this point, I'd settle for a Crimson Razor Cat.
What is the secret to finding stuff out here? I can't even see anything with my tracking?!?!?!?
Are there specific spawn points or something?

I've been hunting for one for over a month now. More than 30 hunts have resulted in six sightings, 13 kills, and no babies.
Patience is definitely called for.

Me too, if the stranger was rude and was threatening me, I would kill the baby too so nobody had it. Reason I brought up this scenario is because it seems there are alot of creature handlers looking for this rare cat and this situation might come up sometime.

From what I hear, spawns in general are more plentiful right after a server restart. I guess this would apply to rares too. Take a week off work for "Animal Theraphy"
