Thread: Fastest pets?

I am looking for pets that are able to keep up with any of the vehicles. Currently I have a BE'ed Gurreck and he keeps up with the X-34 fairly well. I tried looking on SWGCreatures.com but didnt see anywhere on there that listed speed of a critter. Any other suggestions?

Anything that flies is your best bet for keeping up with vehicles.

Sigh... anything else? besides the Mynoks I really dont like too many of the flying critters in the game. Something the size of an ancient reptilian flier should NOT be able to hover in mid air.

Excuse me? why is this a dumb question? Personally I think its a valid question. Now granted, I shouldn't take stock in anything from someone that trolls posts with no constructive responses, especially someone that has only be on the boards for a month, but honestly, is this really needed?

In order of keeping up,
- Flying pets, (gleaming lantern bird, those are nice looking)
- Big Cats, Razor Cat, Gurreck, GSP, GPS,
But if you're not looking for a flyer, then you're looking for a cat. btw where are the dogs? i want a wolf as a buddy.

My Gurreck runs faster on fat terrain then my Reptillian fliers flys, in rough terrain they are about the same speed.
The Jax isn't that slow my cl 63 Jax isn't anyway

It's been a while since I've done cross-country running with the dogs out, but I seem to recall them going at about Burst Run speed. Maybe a fraction of a shade slower. I'm pretty sure they're not as fast as cats or two-legged fliers, though.

I have researched this question quite a bit, Gurreks and Gurricats are the fastest I've seen (have not compared to a GSP/GPS yet however), they can keep up with a the big speeder fairly easilyand a swoop would only have to slow down for it to catch up from time to time (a BE can make a very nasty pet in this skin BTW, I've got a L67 with 60% Kinetic and light armor that does a boatload of damage).
However if you want absolute speed, I suggest a gleaming lantern bird, they can keep up with a swoop outright and at CL 34, they can make a nice shield for those cross country treks.

Slice Hounds are dogs, I love slice hounds. Their look kicks ass. But I agree they need more dog-like creatures. As long as they don't use the same avatar as a slice hound *cough* cats *cough*.

lol true, but they look far from dogs,I want a wolfish looking dog, coyote, not some quad w/ fangs coming out of his mouth and a weird plating on his head. Do those even make dog(ish) sounds? Dunno just ugly looking beasts and yeah the same skin model is pretty annoying, just shows lack of effort for ones product to me.
