Im an aspiring CH and I got a Non CH CL10 Pet. I had it trained by a Master CH but it wont listen to any commands. It's not fully grown yet, does that matter? Do I have to wait till its full grown for any commands to work?

it should work fine. Are you issuing the commands correctly? Check your datapad to ensure you know what your pet was trained with. All commands are case-sensitive, too.

If you're trying to use the /tellpet command with a 1- or 2-letter command, its buggy and doesnt work

Also, be sure you're saying the commands out loud - make sure you're not in the instant message or galaxy/auction tab where text doesnt go to spatial when you enter it =)

It was trained with all the commands, but they are all 1 or 2 letters. So this wont work I take it.

Not with the /tellpet command. Also note that commands are case sensitive . . . if you or the trainer happens to be a "caps lock" type of person, that could be the problem as well.

they are all 1 or 2 letter commands.

I just say

[Petname] a

[Petname] f

to attack and follow, but nothing works.

Is there something else I should try?

I would highly suggest slimming down your comands to just being a or f (use the petname to get the pet to learn the command, then retrain without the petname, he knows your talking to him.

Also, I would highly suggest writing a macro for your attack and follow command, so with the touch of a button your will is known (that and you can make rather lengthy statement like "Bring me his head" or something like that, train the critter using the macro so you know it will be perfect every time (and with self made macro's, you can bind them to any key you want so they don't take up space in your toolbar, my attack and follow commands are bound to my home and end keys, right above the arrows)

oops, on my first statement, let me rephrase, train him with his name, then train him the same command without his name, his name will stick untill you give him more commands in naming format

I.E.Attack = Growler 1

Follow me= Growler 2

Trick 1 = Growler 3

Guard = Growler 4

then he should be named growler, then just re-issue the commands without the name (his name will continue to stick)

Attack = Kill

Follow me = come

Trick 1 = t

Guard = gg

I usually use one letter commands or the name of the commandmost rarely used functions, and macro for commonly used ones (attack and follow me)

Wait. The command was trained as just 'a'

So I don't have to say the pets name first? I can just say 'a' and it should work?

I've been sayingthe pets name first and then the command.

That's correct. If your pet was trained to attack using just "a", then all you do is say a outloud (in spatial). No need to say Spot a, if the command is just a.
