I am going MCH / MBE - which leaves me enough skill points for 1 line of an elite combat proffession to help my pets. I am thinking swords, but I am afraid it might be too slow of a weapon at non-master levels. I am also considering TK, for the Meditate. I would appreciate any suggestions, and why. Maybe even just master scout - and help pets with traps? (PS - Although I may do the occasional PvP - I am mostly interested in PvE ideas at this point)

I would recommend Rifleman. Powerful, fast, the all around best of the ranged professions. Pistoleer would be my choice for a close second. If you want to go the kinetic route, many CH's are TKA or Swordsman, which is not slow once you get into the higher levels.

I'm TKM and 2222 CH. When I first started in TKM, I found that the speed and strength tree in TKM was the best to compliment my pets. I could fight along side them against Sharnaff and I'd get about 400-500 XP for my pet. So maybe you could take the TKA xx4x tree.

I won't have higher levels - only enough xp for 1 line of an elite combat proffession

rifleman with strafe shot or pistoleer with fanshot 1 skill tree isnt enough with a melee char u will be close enough in battle to take the hits without the melee mitigation to protect you.
