Thread: Looking for Advice on a CH PvE Template

As the title says I am looking to make an uber PvE template. My current delema is between Commando/ TKA or Commando/ CH.

In my opinion I think being a Commando/CH would be perfect. I can deal out the damage while i have my pets tank. Not only this but i think it would be more enjoyable to play as. Therefore, can anyone tell me the extent that this will work. For example, will Kimo's and Krayts be to much of a long shot, by killing my pets within minutes (or seconds) whichever the case might be.

I would appreaciate any feedback on this matter.

Thanks

if you tried commando, you'd only be able to get flame 4. you'd be missing out on huge accuracy mods and the all-important flame cone 2 at master.

if you went tk, you wouldn't use ch at all except as a novelty.

your best bet would be a ranged profession. rifleman is the standard choice, as is pistoleer.

but a popular template that has been showing up lately is bh/ch.

hmmmm BH/ CH sounds fun.

but then i suppose you would have to spend most of your time buffed, and I'm not a big fan of buffs, yeah i'll use neutron pixie, muon gold and brandy but dont like doc buffs.

might create another character on another server and give that one a try. or wait and see how I get on with my current template of CH/rifleman/master scout and dabble in ranger.

I would recommend Master Rifleman as a compliment to CH for PvE, whi is what I'm focusing on. You can use your creatures as tanks to keep mobs at bay while you rifle them or you can use them as sentinels to guard you while you snipe. They also are great hunting companions all around.

during the grind I was master ch always with other combat proffesions i liked

pistoleer, swordsman, and rifleman (kept rifleman)

all were good but rifleman by far is the best have a friend whos a commando and my rifle with strafe shot was doing just as much dam as his flamethrower he thought i switched proffesions lol since he was last on

strafe shot with master rifle can do 2k-3k worth of dam and gives you enough points left for med skills and even ent if u wish you can be truely independant and solo if you wish

My char right now Master CH Master/Master Rifleman/scout4/0/40/ Marksman 4/0/0/4/Medic0/0/3/0(for stim C use) and i have 14 points left might drop a med then get nov ent ana music skill im stillundecided might drop em in scout on trapping too lol

as you can see from my sig, i've gone the CH TK template. CH has helped me lvl up my tk skills. there does come a point where you're tanking for you pets... but if you like ch like i do, then no big deal. my point to to play a character i enjoy, not necessarily the most powerful template in the game.

Currently I have this setup:

MCH
MRifle
Medic 4340 (powerful fast healing with Stim D)
and the skills required in Scout and Marksman.

It works very well.

My old template:

Master Pistoleer

Master CH

Medic 2144

Scout 4004

My new template:

Master Rifleman (currently 4244 here - will Master soonish)

Master CH

Medic 2144

Scout 4004

I made the change because Pistoleer just doesn't have enough damage output and I have an eye on PvP...maybe. A future template for me might be Master Doctor/Master Rifleman, with remaining skillpoints, if any, TBD. Much depends on JTLS.

Master Creature Handler 4444

Bounty Hunter 0444

For some strange reason I can still use Pet Stimpak B which is given to you in the SECOND skill box. I had to drop that because I ran out of skill points. But I can still use Pet Stimpak B. Hmmmm
