Thread: Question on surrendering skills and pets

I have just returned to swg after 10 months away. I am a master ch with many pets and want to go in another direction. What happens to my pets as I surrender the skills? Will they stay in my datapad or will i be forced to delete as i move down the trees?
Will I still be able to transfer or sell some of my pets after i leave master ch? Should all of my pets have the "transfer" command before i remove master ch?
I have some extinct pets: kliknik queen, frenzied graul, merek harvester battlelord. What do I do with them? All of my pets are pre 9-27-03.
Thanks for your help. I am afraid to surrender any skills until i get some of these questions answered

Make sure they know all the commands, especially transfer. And keep at least one novice level pet in case you don't get rid of all your pets and you decide to become a CH again. You can keep your pets, but you won't be able to train new ones if you have more than your current limit.

Thanks so much for answering my questions . I am on Bria server.
. I am on Bria server. I quit last Sept for 2 reasons. One, after reaching master ch there wasnt much to do. Two, the pets started taking permanent vitality damage and at the same time many became extinct. I was not able to fight with my favorite (now extinct) pets due to the vitality damage. So there they sit in my datapad. To add insult to injury, they lowered the pets armor level and raised their cl. It was too much to bear.
Now I am back and playing. I pull out my level 50 webmaster (these are not extinct are they?) and fight. I cannot find a BE to make me a decent pet....they all seem to be out of the business. If I am only fighting with a cl 50 pet, Idont see why i cant drop down from master ch. At this point, i dont see any advantage to being a master ch.

Just don't forget to keep some ch exp as well (at least enough to get the skills to use your lowest lvl pet). I'm not sure if it's possible to get exp with taming a wild creature if you got a full datapad (with pets).
