There has been alot of questions on pet growth and i get asked all the time what it takes to make a pet grow ..well here's afew things i have found out.
1: There is a timer that runs from 12am to 12pm and to 12pm to 12am . Logging on during that timer can make your pet grow 2 levels after the 12 hour has run out.
2: Fighting / feeding your pet during a 12 hr timer will make it grow alot faster ..sometimes up to 6-8 levels
3: Not logging on at all reduces the growth but does not stop it i don't think
I'm currantly running a test with 2 CL 28 pets ..one is being kept in the datapad and not taken out the other is walked and fed etc in each 12hr timer slot .. so far the one which is walked and fed is growing alot faster.

I just ran a test on two level ten pets. I tamed them at the same time. One was stored right away, the other was fully trained. I took the trained one out every day and played with it a few times. The other never came out of the datapad. The first day they both grew to level 5, the second day they were both level 7, the third day they were both level 9, day four they were both full grown.

ive noticed the timer also ive had pets grow once a day but if i log before work in the morning 530am an call em theyv been growin twice a day aroun 8-10pm at night too for me lately anyways lol

Yup. Fighting with and feeding pets to make them grow faster is a myth. I've tried it with numerous pets (of the same species) and they all grew at the same rate as the ones I left in the datapad. Different species grow at different rates, but using them doesn't affect their growth rate.

What i've seen is that pets always grow for 10% of their target lvl in a certain period of time. And it seemed like they grow twice a day. I'm not sure yet, if you have to be online for that at a certain time or not though.

I've had 2 cl18 jump by 8 lvl's when i have been sing them in one day, but my cl 20 mount whih i don't fight with grows at a very reduced rate in comparision.

In my observation 10% is correct, for every day that you log in. If you don't log in it seems slower but I haven't figured out the amount yet, because I have to log in to do that

If you don't log in, the pet won't grow. I didn't log in to Valcyn for 4-5 days a couple months ago, and my new baby CRC was still the same CL as when I logged out. Pre-BE patch, my b/f and I both bought BE narglatches. Both were tamed within an hour of each other. His was almost never taken out, and he grew 2 growths a day.(b/f's char is hooman). My zabrak CH who took out and played withher new baby only got one growth a day. I've always thought that maybe certain races got a bonus to pet maturing or something. My Dosh friend's pets seem to grow slower than mine...or, it would be totally random, which I think is more likely...got a /tell in Theed the other day, guy asking me if I had any CL 14 pets available that were fullgrown, if so he would trade one of his pets for it. Asked him why, he promptly put in the trade window 3 pets that were CL 1. Said he tamed them 6 days ago when he trained novice.He had tried taking them out and fighting with them, tricks and feeding. Told him to /bug them and see what happened, but that was way beyond me...

Guys i have noticed if you use 2 pets of the same type they both grow at the same speed for some reason but if you use 2 different types of creature both at the same CL they will grow at different speeds as discribed by me above.
Feeding/fighting is not a myth i do it all the time and get some good results and increased pet growth
