Thread: Player Event proposal: REQUIEM FOR A DYING BREED
Your presence is humbly requested at a ceremonial Pet Release event.
Former Master Creature Handler Iakimo Wioga wishes the comfort of the presence of his fellow Creature Handlers and former Creature Handlers, as well as any others who hold this noble profession in high esteem, at the southern border of the City of Theed, next to the Bioengineer Trainer and Shuttleport directly outside the Starport entrance, as he restores freedom to his collection of loyal creaturecompanions. This is not to be a night of protest or disruptive demonstration, but a night of banding together to quietly grieve the loss of our beloved pets. I will require the assistance of a current Master Creature Handler to receive my pets one-by-one in trade, and to call them out from his or her datapad, followed by a "Befriend" command so I can then target a distant creature outside town and order them to attack. As the pet heads out to devour the targeted creature, the Master Creature Handler helping me will then destroy the Pet Control Device associated with the pet. It is my hope this artifice will create a moving "loping off into the sunset" effect for my newly-freed pet.
Upon the release of my final pet, I would like it very much if a sympathetic soul could trade to me a CL-10 mount-trained Motley Kaadu, for my use in the new environment, set to be initialized the following day. I will gladly provide a grant of one million credits to the first Master Creature Handler who can furnish me with such a pet, and who agrees to be present on this solemn occasion. The final act of this ceremony will be the naming of this mount, "Hope."
Creature Handlers and any others sympathetic to our plight from other servers are cordially invited to attend. It is requested that if you need to create a temporary toon for this event, that you create a Novice Scout, symbolic of the foundation of our profession.
Dress code for Creature Handlers is your best Creature-Taming attire. Dress code for all other participants is either formal wear or the military garb of your appropriate faction (either factional armor or uniforms), or suitable Jedi clothing. Please arrive On Leave. Factionally-aligned participants are encouraged to form up into cohesive units, as are groups from individual guilds and player associations.
