Thread: NGE and the death of Creature Handling

I'm a newcomer to these boards; I've only recently involved myself in the community of SWG in the past few months. Been playing pretty much since the game came out... and in the face of this, I don't have words. This morning, when I signed in to check everything, I read in shock and numbness all of the pain. Then, I went into the shower, sat down, and cried. When my first love dumped me only to f*ck some guy two days later, I smiled and moved on. When someone I thought I could trust completely twisted my mind around and played me for a fool, I moved on. But this... losing this brought tears to my eyes.
I'm hurt; I'm outraged. I'm saddened that we didn't have any idea of this coming, and I'm sickened that they could introduce us all to Mustafar and new creatures, new tames, and the lure of the Master Taming Necklace and then throw this out like a slap in the face. Well, let them slap me - I refuse to let this happen without speaking my mind. SOE, you're pathetic and disgusting for allowing this ABOMINATION to come to be. I've played Galaxies for years because of the things that made it unique, not despite them... and for my loyalty, for my time and my pain and those so-many sleepless nights in front of my computer, you've taken my dreams and smashed them to pieces.
Come the NGE, I don't know what's going to become of my beloved characters. I do know that I'm going to be out there every day until it hits, grinding 'bukki through the skills to earn a badge to display with pride over my head - Creature Handler.
I feel like I've been raped... Devs, LucasArts, Sony Online Entertainment, everyone who spearheaded or stood by and let this come to pass, I hope you're happy with yourself.
To my fellow Creature Handlers, Scouts, Rangers, Teras Kasi Artists, Swordsmen, Bio-Engineers... Vazh'kra and Kabukkibus have something to say.

But this is true, I share the saddened feelings, I bought SWG 2 years ago and why should I have to see it change now. The whole way I play the game will change to something I dont want.
If they delete it their defeating themselves, showing theyve once again messed up and trying to cover it up.
We have a right to say what we want on this, our game experience is changing, we pay for what we play now, not for what we will be playing.

In true 'bukki fashion, I'm volunteering to host a Livejournal account for my fellow CHs out there to put up their ideas, thoughts, and opinions. If anyone's interested, just reply to this thread or send me a PM (or an email at [email protected]). I want to keep the spirit of CH alive, even if we can't keep the profession.

i completely agree as a person that has played since launch and my first prof was and still is Master Creature Handler.
