Thread: My mount has gone nuts

I ran into some strange and frustrating bugs yesterday, mostly in relation to my mount.

1. It won't follow me. When I call it, it doesn't automatically follow me. When I tell it to follow me, it won't. This makes running into a nearby house to call a mount rather frustrating, because to get it back out of the house to let me ride it requires telling it to follow another pet (I can't "follow target" on myself, tried it). I also have to use /tellpet to get it to follow something else, as saying the command doesn't do anything.

2. If it gets hurt... sometimes I can't heal it. Last night was the first time I saw a pet stim not land for the full value. After the stim didn't land for the full value, every following attempt didn't land at all (and no delay timer, so you can click through a whole stim-stack in three seconds if you think lag is the culprit). Storing the mount and re-calling it (see #1 above for why this isn't enjoyable) solves the problem for a little while, but it comes back.

3. After I ride my mount, it won't group with me anymore. Again, storing it and re-calling it will make it start responding to the group command again.

4. Not mount related -- pets don't constantly sniff my crotch anymore. Yay! Well, until I call a droid. I noticed that calling a droid while I had pets out would make all my pets and the droid come stand on my toes again. I didn't check whether this would lead to the pets "pushing" again, as I just used the droid to try and boost mission levels and then stored everything and started over.

5. Not mount related -- harvesting... odd "coincidences" last night in harvesting. I ran a dozen missions and got only "medium" sized creatures for harvesting purposes. Only medium sized. Nothing but medium sized. And then the next half dozen missions I ran had only "fat and healthy" sized creatures. I don't really know what the significance of that might be, and it's definitely not gamebreaking in any way. It's just very very odd.

Observed the same mount behavior last night, definitely different after the morning's hotfix. Thanks for posting the "follow other pet" workaround to get it out of a building, had not tried that.

Now a question to the community: has anyone found a work-around for the folks who cannot call multiple pets or (shudder) those with no camping ability?

Between the mount not behaving as a pet and my huurton autostoring every 5 minutes, I finally gave up, hoofed it back to Coronet and rode my bike home. Yup, that was fun...

Noticed the same here with it not following when ordered. I also ordered an attack and it never came either.

Bad Dewback..bad...

one workaround that may work for those that cant call multipul pets at once. go into the house and stand right in the doorway just bairly inside so you can call. Be faceing outwards when you call, pets tend to spawn on you and walk a few steps in the direction your faceing so it should walk outside far enough for you to mount it. only other option is find a house with a spawn nearby and hope you can convince your pet to FT on an NPC. Some people have mentiond that the follow comand would work as long as it wasnt "follow" for example "heel" would work but follow wouldnt... havent tested this myself so cant say for sure.

To Upgrade something implies that you are adding too, enhancing, and fixing the thing that you are upgrading. The CU does not do this, it is not adding too, enhancing, or fixing the combat system that is in place, it is replacing the innovative SWG system with the generic one used by its competitors. Be honest and stop calling it the CU, Call it the CR (combat replacement) instead
