Thread: why cant I tame pets lower than my max level

Alright this is very stupid...why can I not tame a baby that is lower than my max pet level????? I just tried to tame a toxic merek battlelord (lvl 45) and I am a level 50...it said I cannot tame it???? what the hell is going on?? this has happened to me before with aracne warriors...now I know both pets are tamable so what gives...I have never had this much trouble before, Devs you need to look into this!!!!!

Do you have at least 2 levels in the taming tree, I think level 3 for non-wookies. Basically its an agressive wild creature, and you do not have enough skill to tame it, even though your max creature level says you could control it if you could tame it.

Ferocity levels maybe? You're a level 50, so you're pretty close to Master. Have you completed the Taming skill?

I should amend. The mod is "Taming Vicious Creatures", not "Taming Wild Creatures". Vicious creatures is level 2 in the taming tree.

thanks for the help...I have heard that there has to be at least a 15% chance of success for you to be able to tame it is that right??? and how do you know if you have 15% chance or not?

If you are able to tame it, the option should come up on the radial. It won't let you attempt a tame unless you have the skill needed to do it. So you will know if you have the chance by the fact that it will let you attempt or not.
If you can attempt the tame and are just failing, you need to keep trying... taming clothes help.
If you don't get the option to tame, it's your "taming vicious" mod being too low. You could try some taming clothes or get more skill in the Taming branch.
