Thread: Creature Handler Chart?

Hello,

My latest holo said CH. I am now trying to master the profession. Please keep these in mind:

(1) I have a TON of cash, almost an unlimited resource

(2) I want/need to master CH ASAP

(3) I have good pistol skills, so hunting with pet for XP is what I am after

So 'wasting' money is not a problem, and I want to get the best skill gain in the fastest time. I am currently at 1-0-0-0 in my skill tree. I am now hunting with my womp rat baby, and am capped (guess?) with my XP at around 300 points per kill (high leveltargets too).

Is there some chart somewhere that has a breakdown of all tameable creatures and their levels? I am SURE I can get more XP with something better then a womp rat here. And, should I be using 2 pets for more XP gains?

Also, any tips would be appreciated. I have looked everywhere for this. Thanks in advance for any help : )

In spite of you being a holo grinder in CH and you will probably drop it like a hot potato when you are done I will try and help.

You should be able to use a cowardly gurreck, which you can find and tame on Endor, or you can by a level 15 pet from a BE, which will prolly be a better pet anyway, i personally like the smaller cats, razor cats etc. fast and can almost keep up to a speeder bike, birds are great they keep up no problem.

NO having two pets out cuts your CH XP in half.

There is no single tree to take that will get you XP faster. I would suggest you go 0 0 1 0 then work the taming tree. I say that way first because you can teach your pet a trick and it will heal it's own mind that way. But basically it's just go out and kill things. Enraged rancors on Dath in a group works real well. All your pet needs to do is get one hit and it gets the CH XP, oh and it needs to be functioning when the animal dies.

Well good luck, you are going to need it.

....and then no matter how hard we get nerfed, we still keep CH because we are still some of the coolest characters on the game.

If wasting money is not a problem then just buy a few hundred BE pets, the low level ones are fine, and then tame, train, and release them.

I'm guessing then, that once you release a pet to the wild, it cannot be re-trained? I guess it looses it's (Baby) tag?

well, you release a pet by destroying the data in your data pad.... the actual pet is not seen again. You just get text saying "you release your pet into the wild".

Cruise around in your vehicle hitting tab so if a baby comes up you will know. Tame as many as u can. I went up the training tree first so I could keep more pets. Also, while ft tusken gets old after a few times, the xp is constant and plentiful, use a level 15 crazed gurrek and the xp for a tusken warlord is around 1000 - 1400xp, just dont forget to clone in Mos Alainza about 1500m away. Be warned .... xp for the highr skill boxes will take a while, grind or not.

Ive never bought a BE pet, with the exodus of so many CH the past couple a months ive been given several, and some of them have been "adjusted" by patches for the game.

Good Luck

Congratulations on your holo-grind bringing you to Creature Handler!

Now, just hope you dont get hooked.CH is considered one of the more difficult profs to master as there is no fast way tomacro your way thru the xp tree (yes, nexttarget, etc, blah blah, its veeeery slooow), similar to BE and dna sampling.

However, there are fast ways to gain CH xp.Basically, as one poster stated, get yourself a lvl 15 pet (BE is preferable but xp with BE pet might vary). **Buypetstims** This is a matter of etiquette and xp! There is nothing worse than missing out on CH xp and/or having to beg others to heal your lousy pet that is adding absolutely nothing to the group. Buy some petstims, dont rely on others to heal your pet -they wont (not in time for you to get xp, eespecially), and its uncouth to be asking "could you heal my pet?" over and over. Have some pride!

Take your lvl 15 pet to Dantooine, the Mining Outpost. Start/get in as large a groupas possible that will "only" hunt voritor hunters (there is a serious xp drop for any of the other creatures). Theweapon profs might complain about their xp since its based on the damage they do and with so many people they wont be doing much damage, however .... really its no different for them, less xp per mob, more mobs, but for youit will be awesomexp. Send your pet to each mob as it is targeted by the players/their pets and let your pet wack on it a few times - pet must be alive when the mob dies to get xp.

A decent sized group (12+) will be dropping the voritors REAL FAST so dont even worry about your weapon or doing anything else but targeting (use tab) and telling your pet to attack. Go tamea Greater Sludge Panther or a Grand Wrixonce you can tame CL 25 and go back to dantooine.

Doing voritor hunters you will get 750-920 xp per mob (depending on what type of pet you use), with 15 people in a group, two voritor hunter missions per person, thats 30 voritor hunter missions with 6-10 voritor hunters per mission, thats180-300 voritor hunters per trip out with the group. Squad leaders in your group are an excellent way to keep a large group moving through the missions, if you are lucky you will have one in your group.

Do the math .... that'sexcellentxp

Good luck young jedi.

The problem with BE taming is you don't get the same xp as you get from taming wild ones. Just thought you should know that. Besides you get more from killing things.
