Whats the best pet that a novice CH can control and tame? At the moment I am 0/0/0/0 and am trying to get CH experience. Any ideas?

I'd find something BE'd at CL 12. They're going to have higher HAM than anything you can tame in the wild. If you can't afford one, tame a wild critter. For example:

The cu pa is the classic starter pet for novice CHs, CL 11, found on Tatooine. Wrix, from Corellia and Talus, CL 12 are also good. You might try bagarasets or carrion spats on Corellia as well. Female kaadus found onNaboomake good starter pets, and you can eventually train them as mounts. Same is true on the cu pas once they go live as mounts in publish 7.

Female Kaduus on Naboo are 12. I think the Veermoks are too, check SWGcreatures.com

Yes, the BE pets are stronger and cheaper to heal, but for a young starving CH, may be too expensive.

I tried to train a cu pa last night (I'm CH 0000). On examine, the baby said:

Trainable: No.

What is up with that? Does it matter if it might have been agro on someone?

If so, how do you tame a baby that is pissed off?

Gotta wait until it's out of combat! You can't tame a critter that is attacking or being attacked.

So, if I approach a lair and ask whomever is working it if I may take any babies, and a baby I want spawns and immediately attacks the person attacking the lair (as will be the case 100% of the time), I cannot tame the creature unless it just decides to stop attacking? How is this possible? I could pull agro, run the baby around untill it gives up (or until my /peace spam stops working and i kill it with one shot/hit by accident), but then it will just switch agro back to the original target... I have got to ask a stranger to run away from a baby untill all players are off of its agro list? people actually do this for ya'll?

What are your techniques for taming a babythat is agro (on you or someone else)?

/burstrun + /peace = BLEH!

heh, thats what I was afraid of. I can't imagine even attempting this profession prior to mounts / vehicles. I have been searching Tat for babies that are already spawed.. found 4 last night. woo hoo.

eh, I never get aggro'd whentapping a lair. You just have to know when to stop shooting it.

first tap = 1 shot, hit peace

second tap = a bitless than half way down, it takes a little practice but you get the hang of it after awhile.
