Thread: IS A LEVEL 0 PRE-NERF PET AN EXPLOIT?

Rumors exist that state that some normally high level pets are somehow "pre-nerf Level 0" but somehow have all the stats of a much higher CL. My questions are:

Did this really happened for a period of time?

Is it kinda like "pre-nerf T-21's" that are still acceptable, but are being gradually phased out?

Are "pre-nerf" anythings (pets, guns, whatever) considered exploits?

I'm pretty new to all this stuff...sounds kinda unlikely...can someone enlighten me?

the lvl 0 pets were the result of a bug that was fixed so they can no longer be created. soposedly code was soposed to be in place to either fix the CL of those or to make them invalid and uncallable but I have no idea what happend with that. personaly I expect the remaining pets that are the result of this bug will be fixed eventualy so they now longer show as CL 0. If your asking because you are planing to buy one I'd say dont waste the credits. if you already have one I dont think youll get baned for useing it but you may wana try to get rid of it (some sucker with too much cash will be more than willing to buy it I'm sure)

The T21s you mentiond wernt the result of a bug they just decided to rebalence the guns so they wernt so powerful but they decided to leave the old ones in to decay on their own. Useing pre nerf t21's isnt an exploit.

To Upgrade something implies that you are adding too, enhancing, and fixing the thing that you are upgrading. The CU does not do this, it is not adding too, enhancing, or fixing the combat system that is in place, it is replacing the innovative SWG system with the generic one used by its competitors. Be honest and stop calling it the CU, Call it the CR (combat replacement) instead

Yes, a prenerf pet that is a "bugged"CL0 or CL1 is an exploit. It should never have been useable pre-patch or post patch. Therefore, now that you can use it, it would be an exploit, technically you should still not be able to use it. (Yes, this was & is possible with BE pets that were made prior to Dec, I think, I don't know if it's been fixed yet.)

A pre-patch T-21 was useable & legal before the patch that changed the weapon's damage. After the patch, it changed all new T-21's but left the old ones the way they were. Eventually with dacay, they weapons would disappear. The pet patch was supposed to do the same, meaning the pre-patch BE pet deedsshould have remained the same, not become CL0 pets.

I bought a "lvl 5 " gurrcat that never made it past "0". I bought it with the intention of killing yard trash to grind with. A few days later, I checked on it's growth status and it was still 0. I deleted it because I decided to hunt on Dathomir for exp, which was much more fun than killing gorgs. I made master so i'm happy. I didn't realize it was an exploit, i just thought it was bugged. Oh well, it was only 2k.

Yes they exist

Yes using them is an exploit

No we don't know when this is actually going to get removed

Yes you can get in trouble for using them

No this isn't the same as pre-nerf T-21, FWG5, and Probots

Exploit according to SOE = Use of bug for personal gain

These pets weren't nerfed like the T-21, they're bugs like credit duping

This is not totaly true, send a ticket and ask if using it can lead to a warning or a ban, you will may be surpirsed by the answer you will get from the CSR.
