Thread: Where did it all go wrong?
Profession Role Summary
Below is a summary of each elite combat profession followed by a brief description. The primary and secondary role definitions are high level and conceptual - intended to convey only the basics of the profession. The core role rankings were added to give a guideline on where that profession fits in relation to the other professions for that specific core role.
Creature Handler
Primary Role: Pet Handler
Secondary Role: Versatility
Offense: N/A (Defined by Pet)
Defense: N/A (Defined by Pet)
Crowd Control: N/A (Defined by Pet)
Creature Handlers are the ultimate in combat versatility. While they have no innate combat capabilities of their own they are able to fulfill almost any needed role as long as they have a pet with the necessary abilities.
I had intended to rant on about /bugs and various things that need fixing, but I remembered this and thought it just about covered all my thoughts. How when our pets do not work are we supposed to function as a decent profession. I am trying to remain loyal as CH is still the only prof I want to play this game with, but it's becoming really tough now.
Perhaps the DEVs will re-read this and actually implement this to us in the near future.

1st Public Relations
a) Understanding Customer Satisfaction
b) Keeping Customers Informed.
c) TAKING GOOD CARE of REPEAT Customers - VETERAN PLAYERS in this case.
SOE IMHO is now trying last ditch efforts to try an fix things, an in the process they have SCREWED over VETERAN players. I remember when EQ1 first came out.... it was a shock to the gaming industry a company charging monthly to play a game. I also remember being online in EQ1 an getting a system msg that a new gaming industry 1st has just happend an over 500,000 people were playing the game at the same time. This was 4 or5 years back.
I could be 100% wrong here but from surfing around an picking up bits an pieces of info I would guess SOE has about 1 mill people playing all there games, an WOW is now bosting 2 mill in that game alone.
IMHO if you are asking where did it all start going down hill in SWG. The first NERF of CH. Other trades should have been brought up to the CH lvl, an not like they did it bringingCH down to there level.
I bet this game is going to look like a ghost town when an if they include the feature that houses can be returned to deed with all itmes in them an they deed everyones house that has left the game. Lots of people have left this game with house paid well over a year in advance. With the change were if you don't pay on your house it automatically takes from the bank, has the side effect of keeping lots of houses around when people are actually gone.
The Jedi revamp was there second MAJOR error IMHO. They screwed over the VETERAN Jedi. Took what was 4 area's a Jedi could train in an made it 5 an then made it so you could only train in 2 an a half of them, instead of all 4. Policy changed an from the "vision" make Jedi REALLY hard, to we want them to be a dime a dozen.
Again this is just my opinion an I might be 100% wrong... What I think is going on is this game is being modified in coding an content so when SWG2comes out later this year or early next year. Our characters will import over correctly. SOE's primary concern is NOT fixing what is broke now but get it ready for SWG2.
Why do you think we have had all this double exp stuff an all the respec? It is because IMHO they lost so many customerswith the CU that they needed to fill in the playing field with fresh blood. NOTE... when did the CU hit? Just before the release of the new SWG movie. Thus they lost alot of customers because of the CU an gained alot because of the movie. So there $ stayed close. What SOE has missed is that un-happy customers due to poor customer relations tend to talk an bad mouth this game.
Well thats my 2 credit worth on this topic ![]()
