The thing with rollsbacks are that they are serverwide, and if I get it correctly, you where moving while you froze up. So if it was a rollback, you should have been at a previous location.

Yes, I was moving when I froze. It's something that's been happening to me a lot.
That, and if it were a rollback, wouldn't I have lost the other pet I had tamed?

This frequently happens to me. I wonder why it mostly seems to happen in theed?

I could have sworn I saw a post on this, but I searched back 4 pages and didn't see anything, so maybe I'm just trippin'...
Anyways, I went to Dantooine tonight with a friend of mine, and we were out doing some missions. We're both Creature Handlers, him a Master, me a 2213, but I guess that's really besides the point.
Neither of us were doing any taming, he's got all the pets he'll ever need, and my datapad could only hold 1 more creature, but I saw a creature that I wanted. It was a huurton howler baby, and tamed it. Checked the stats, it'll be a nice pet for me (it will max at 25, I can call up to 29).
Later on, I see another huurton baby, this one just a plain huurton, but I decide to go for it, and delete a pet of mine that I have had for not all that long, and that I never use anyways (not one of my better ones, and not really attatched to it), and I tame the huurton.
I get back to Theed, and open up the datapad so that I can train both of them, and only the huurton howler is there... the regular huurton is gone, and obviously the pet I deleted for it is gone too. Well, at least it was the lower of the 2 huurtons that was lost (the howler will end up being one of my best pets that I currently have), but still, I was kinda looking forward to putting this guy in my collection too.
As a side note, when I entered Theed, before entering the datapad, my game did lag up badly, and freeze, causing me to shut down my computer before I was able to get back on. Could that have anything to do with it (I dunno why it would)? Or is it a completely unrelated issue?

no that is probably the reason, sometimes a rollback will occur...one time the server shut down while i was taming a couple be pets for someone..i deleted something to make room..when i got back on, the pet i deleted was back and the be pets were gone..i had transfered one back and was in the process of training the other when the server went down..both were gone..i told the guy to contact csr, he did..the next day he had one back and a deed, and i had the other which replaced the pet i had released to make room for it, so we ended up with 3 pets...the one i was training ended up back in my pad, and he ended up with a deed for the same pet...see what hapens next time you log back in

Well the game is acting all screwy since publish 14, and it would happen in Theed most, cuz that's pretty much the biggest city in the game right? Very highly populated, lots going on (especially by the starport).

Not on my server it isnt

If you haven't already, I would /bug this and post about it in Tiggs' Issue Thread (in the In Live forum). Sounds like it may be something new with this publish. If it happens again, you may also want to consider opening a ticket in game to see if the CSRs can restore your lost pet.
