Without more information on your part I'd say since eve nwith your tame bonus clothes you still can't call it most likely the Kimo is greater then lvl 70 thus non tamable. Examine the deed for the creature lvl. If this is in fact the case you have a nohting more then a home decoration on yourhands.

So what exactly is the pet of a Bio-Engineer'dKimo if it's over level 70?
My friend has one of these, and can't use it because it exceeds level 70. Why on Earth would these be even possible to make, if they aren't possible to use?

they are accidents, critical failures if you will..the goal is getting as close to 70 without going over..sometimes you do...bzzz buzzer sounds

If your stacking bonus above +25 your wasting creds. Even though the mods shows that its still increasing only the first +25 works

lol, good way of putting it.
But it's still dumb. If I'm crafting a droid and get a crit failure, I lose all of my resources and components, and have to start over (well, not anymore, but you get the point).
If a BE crit fails, he can still put it on a vendor and cheat some unsuspecting CH out of a bunch of credits for a kick arse deed. Hmm...
My friend has been Master for quite awhile. There was a time before the 70CL limit, correct? I think he's had that since then. He could never use it.
Well that sucks that he's arsed out.

Thexas, if you are MCH you should have a +70 before any clothing buff. I am a human MCH and that is what I have. Secondly look closely at the BE pet. I have a BE Kimo and have no trouble with it except that you can't use them since the last patch because any aggro pet will immediately aggro unless you start spamming it so it can't do anything but what you ask it to do. So even you tame it you will never be able to control it.
Second look closely at the challenge level of your BE kimo (by the way it has to be a BE kimo since there are no tamable wild Kimos), if it is over 70 that could be your problem. Technically you should be able to tame it an train it (that is if there is nothing anywhere near you now) but once it gets passed level 70 you will never be able to call it out again even with BE clothing. I believe a Wookie MCH can go to 75 or possibly 80 with the bonus they get in Creature Handler. They certainly are able to tame animals sooner then the rest of us, but that would be the best you can do. I don't think the creature taming bonus of +5 for FS survival will allow you over cl 70, but if it does it still would cap you at cl 75 and a little higher for a Wookie possibly.

Some BEs don't know that the limit for control is 70, best practice is to always check the stats before purchasing. Some people do buy these as furniture pets so they aren't useless. But a Kimo is rather large for that unless it's going in a guild hall.
