My friend and I were trying to decide what a a good hunting template for us would be for hunting krayts. He is a master rifleman/doc

And i want to be a MCH/ Rifleman. Will the pets last long enough for us to kill some of the bigger krayts?

if your friend buffs the pets, they last a decent amount of time..problem is if you are fighting a giant and it knocks the pet down, without a player tank, the krayt will be in your face, and asa rifleman, that is not good...if i could give you some advice you should go melee and work with the rilfeman..me and a guildee hunts kraytes frequently, he just switched from swords to tkm, we both use pets, and both target the mindpool..ancient's take forever, but we can do it..mch/rifles can solo juvies all day, but you need a partner to get the full size kraytes

I havea Master CH/Pistoleer template which I have used for over a year now which I find very useful for PVE.

Tuck in behind the pet and heal them and you dont usually get a scratch.

I use petstim D's of about 1400 healing plus stim B's of about 900 to keep my critter topped up in a fight.

Juvenile Krayts NP, anything bigger you need some backup simple as that.

As to Rifleman or any Mind hit profession I think that will be a thing of the past soon with combat upgrade as they have said many times that the mind hits will be toned down severely.

Well i would be hunting with a master rifleman/doc friend. Do you think... i would stay away from giant canyons or bigger.

But do you think it would be possible to at least get a canyon krayt? If we are both rifleman and i have a pet attacking and im healing the pet like you said? Now i know the melee idea has been said already.

yeah as long as the pet says alive, canyons are not too difficult..and if the pet drops, try and make it come to you..that way you can be res'ed by your doc friend...if he dies, you're kind of screwed..so the only bad part about both being riflemen is you can't stay ar range, at least he can't as he has to keep healing the pet...might take a little practice, but you should figure it out after a couple ..
