Before the lame glow sticks flooded the servers, before 45%+ defence food, before 2800+ buffs, and before the great pet NERF...yes...MCH was GOD in PvP! Remember that my old school players? Aaahhh the glory days. I remember being in Bestine one night long ago and watching a MCH with pistol skills using a Gaping Spider Queen. As a novice I watched in awe as he wasted about 6 combatants with ease, then stored his pet and moved along.

2 things as you think about the old days and how it was.

1. From a MCH stand point. How do you feel about pet food? Is it worth the stomach space and time to use it in battle? How do you feel about doc buffs on your pet? Funny thing is, I am bringing my CH out of retirement . So if a Master doc in a medical city zaps my cat with a 2800+ health buff, it will act and last just like a player buff?

2. Ok, your a MCH now...what have you added to your template that has made you continue playing? Why did you choose what you did. What do you feel is a good add on for MCH. PvE thoughts? PvP thoughts? How do you feel we will be after the CURB?

*BOW* to all my fellow CH's out their!

I am a MCH with BH/Pistoleer skills. I was going to go Master BH/MCH after the CURB. But after seeing what Jedi can do to pets, I have started to rethink my template for a more versatile role. This is what I am thinking. I listed the the good and the bad.

Master Creature Handler
Master Marksman
Carbineer 0440
BH 0440
Combat Prowess 0300

Good:

Pets.
Nice selection of guns to a point with skills per Marksman.
Good basic acc/speed with carbine and pistol.
Good special attacks that cause knockdown and DOT.
+9 enhanced Range Speed.
Ranged Mitigation 2.
+80 standard Counterattack.

Add some good armor and clothes with attachments, Defence steak, Vercupti & melee defence food, Quality weapons, and pull out nice tank pets, a combat/bomb droid, and an AT-ST if your Imperial, and you can be a good combatant/Hunter.

Bad:

Lack of better pistols without Pistoleer skills.
No Dodge defence when using BH pistol skills.
Low basic Ranged Defence.
Very poor Melee Defence.
No Dizzy Defence and others.

Lack of up close defence when pets are down could hurt big time!

Wow, after reading the CURB update, looks like you no longer have to master marksman for Commando...hhhmmm...more free points!

im TKM/ MCH with some force sensitive skills. i like to fight closer to my pet to heal better. i use to be MSwordsman/MCH which was an awsome combo but wanted tkm for my hunt of bull rancors (still lookin lol)

as far as food goes i only use bofa treats to heal their wounds i dont use anything else. and doc buffs last as long as buff you get BUT you cant store your pet or they go away. so hope there is a doc on whatever planet you want to hunt and your pet doesnt autostore
