Thread: Any CHs quit (completely) and come back?

I'm paid up until June, but each passing day makes it harder to justify giving SOE any more cash. I know that characters don't get purged immediately when you quit, but does that mean your datapad and inventory are safe for some amount of time as well? If things aren't fixed for real by June I think I'll let my subscription lapse and come back when things are in order.

you have 6 months, evrything will remain in inventory bank...
houses now get condemned but dont disapear and when/if you return you need to pay the maint to use it but truthfully it may not be worth it lol sometimes the house isnt worth the money you dump into it, its your choice.
if you come back for one month after 5 months go by you can retain your stuff for another 6 months

I think it's even longer than 6 months.
A friend of mine recently came back after probably over a year being gone, and his character was still in tact.

soe issued a statement last year before jtl saying they will hold onto the accounts data for 6 months, while its true they may not purge the data for longer periods, they purge when they need room, they only guarantee it fpr 6 months. its listed in an old forum article if you want to try a search

I went back to EverQuest after having been gone over a year. My toon was there with everything I left with. Now as suggested SOE typically will leave it for 6 months. Longer is possible but that is a roll of the dice.

I cancelled an alt account today and it states in the cancellation notice that they do not purge accounts.
