Just wondering how many CHs out there group regularly? If so, what other profession do you have that makes you group friendly?

How many PvP CHs are out there? If you do PvP often, are you successful? If so what profession are you using to make you successful?

Are there any wealthy CHs? If you do have mega-millions how did you get them?

Lastly, are there any RPers who live in the wild, only ride pets (no swoops, etc.), never go into space, etc.?

Just wondering these things because with the current state of our profession it takes a rare breed of gamer to enjoy it. No real purpose, no $, only profession in any MMORPG that promotes the hermit lifestyle. Antisocial class in a social game?!? Anyway, looking forward to your replies.

As for myself:

Have yet to group since my return.

Have yet to PvP (only been back a couple weeks tho).

Broke and expect to stay that way.

Since I endured the JTL beta i have no desire to ever "fly", will mostly use my pets for transport but the BARC sure is sweet.

I rarly group even though I would enjoy it. I have only MCH to bring to the group. With the great nerf of 2003 even my friends ingame stopped asking me. I tried a few hunts with fellow MCHs but they could kill the target with master (fill in a combat template) before I could get my pets to engage even if they were already out.

Also the times I am on there are fewer people to group with.

I don't PvP

I have enough credits to live comfortably. Some gained from origional mounts Some from importing goods to Naboo before that business was wiped out with the GWVS. Most from mining for the crafting professions.

I go thru space but spend most/all of my time on the ground. I keep forgetting to call my pets in my sorrosub to see if they will come out but since they can't fly a space ship and they are not space creatures they can't do much for me in space.

grouping as mch sucks because as the last person said, the target is dead before you can even pull your pet out. and thier so slow now that they can barely keep up with you just walking, and i cant remember the last group i was in that was willing to walk to the next mission.

pvp as mch sucks, pets have been nerfed almost to the point of being worthless except as companions. my pets are only doing maybe 1/3 the damage their rated for, according to what i see in the combat channel.

i dont think there are many ch's on chilastra, as every single person in my guild (wooks) that has ever picked it up, quickly dropped it, most before they even mastered.

mch does not make money as ch, as in selling pets or mounts. you make whatever missions pay out.

i've never met anyone who roleplays living as a hermit in this game, in any capacity. finding someone that roleplays at all is rare in this game.

i've been a ch since soon after launch, and the only reason i still am is because im attached to my pets too much hehe. i honestly cannot give you any other valid reason to have ch as a profession in this game.

hope this helps

Any profession will make you group friendly just so long as you try to group your pets. Then it dosent matter what profession you are, because your pets aregoing to be taking up spots in the group that could be used for other players. Then you have the problem of the call/store timers..........

How many PvP CHs are out there? If you do PvP often, are you successful? If so what profession are you using to make you successful?

Post CU due to profession breaking bugs and the low DPS of pets CH is not a viable PvP profession. If PvP is your thing your better off putting those skillpoints elsewhere.

I have 20 million credits currentlly that I got from loot whoring at the Krayt Graveyard Pre CU. Your not gonna get rich using CH skills unless the devs make some drastic changes to the profession.

Lastly, are there any RPers who live in the wild, only ride pets (no swoops, etc.), never go into space, etc.?

Dunno about that last one cause thats def not me.

So I see we are all in agreement then. Only reason we (or anyone) would play this oddball class is because we are sick in the head

Before my long break from the game I was a BE/CH/merchant and I was always broke. Selling decoration animals & loot and running SUPER low missions is like min. wage. I can say one thing tho... CH sure is fun. Imagine that, fun in a MMORPG.
