Ok so I am grinding CH (again)! Tamed my pet and wanted to start working on leveling up.. Trained my new baby to attack and off I went to find a group.

So the group kill feast began and I ordered my pet to attack! For some reason unknown to me he just stood there, told me to attack again, nothing, the grouped finished that creature off. So, told me to attack the next target well I'll be he just stood there. Told him to attack the lair, well now he actually ran over and attacked something.

So, what is the deal do pets not run over and attack things now? I was a CH way back in the day and wanted to pick it up again since I enjoyed it. Any advice would be helpful!

What I have noticed is that pets seem to freeze when hit by certain attacks, specially area attacks. I found that I can wake them up by using the follow command and then an immediate attack command. The follow command is the only one that seems to work for me anda frozen pet.

This happens on and off to me... I think we are dealing with line of sight (LOS) issues. If you order the pet to attack something it doesn't have good LOS on, it freezes in combat mode and won't take any further orders.

Ibelieve your problem isthe /tellpet command. I can only get one command to work in /tellpet, and that is trick 1.

Rather, I can only getone /tellpet macro to work, and that is trick 1. IfI maually type /tellpet A ,it works.

I'll give that a shot.. I tried just saying Attack.. but still he sat there

Funny if this is a bug... makes it really easy for pulling on swarmers

Did some more testing.. very wierd... If I /tellpet to attack my pet sits in place and the target runs over to my pet and attacks him.. still cannot get my pet to run and attack a creature in a group...
