hmmm... I wonder.
I remember having problems using emotes with pet names in it. I found that /smile clock didn't work (clock being my grand wrix pet's name). But when I tried /smile (clock) it did work. I never used this /tellpet command or even knew it existed. You may want to try /tellpet command with the parens surrounding the pet name?Let us know, as I would be interested in using such a command over spamming in /say any old day.

The servers were so unstable yesterday I didn't play much, but my pet AI was all screwed up. Stopping for no reason, running the oppite way, not closing on targets to attck, armor is broken. I use tellpet, but don't know if that was part of the problem.

Never had a problem with /tellpet
I don't use single letter commands as I see so many folks doing, I train my pets with the same macro I use for control, so they're trained usin the /tellpet command.
The only issue with command I've had is one of my probots comands won't display in the data pad and my GSP has forgot all it's training twice. Must be all that mud in it's ears.
HEH....didn't work when they were standing right next to me but it worked when they had chased the quarry off the radar.
did they ****-ed up this command-line with the latest hotfix patch?
cos my pets wont obey my commands with this string..

do you have to /tellpet Bob attack (saying creatures name is bob) or can you /tellpet attack, if so hows that work with 2 pets and different command lines for the same thing. Some guy got pissed at me the other day for training 3 babies while i waited at the starport, so i figured i should start using this

tellpet doesnt change the commands you can do, only i hear it doesnt work with 1-letter commands.
i use macro's if the commands are different for more pets:
echo heel/back; /tellpet heel; /tellpet back;
so when i only wanna tell my mount to stop fighting i type 'back', so that my main pet keeps the agro when i try to save my mount.
I was asked to macro a /tellpet while hunting, so i set up the following:
/tellpet a;
/echo -Attacking-;
but it didn't seem to work for some reason. I mapped to 7 on my keyboard (not numpad), but nothing happenend. However I was able to /tellpet a normally. Why wasn't my macro working?
