DO they HAVE to be in any Case better thanTamed Counterparts?

I admit, as i begun, i never wanted to use BE-Pets, but....

Now i see myselfhaving shopped for them once or twice.

I love cat-likes, sao i want mostly those

Why do they have to be frigging better than enything you can find?

Does this need a slight rebalance:

BE-Pet: Conviniently buyanble

Tamed Pet:Sense of accomplishment, to have itfound in the wild

Stats close to each other.

Maybe a lot more "Rares" who cant be built by a BE, and who are comparable

to BE-Pets=The Whow.. its a XXX-Factor.

Just a few thoughts.

Bajonett, before 12/4, all 10 of my pets were tamed. Why? because they were better. Now it has gone the other way, but it is to your advantage.

It used to be that everything you fought had armor and high kinetic, now that is not the case. There is no armor in nature under CL 40. There is also no 60 kinetic under CL 40.

So with a BE pet with ar1 and 60 kinetic, you can vastly over power your prey... that is good, right?

BE's don't make pets for BE's, they make them for CH's.

nice post GreenStok, pretty much summed it all up. And why would you call to "re-balance" BE? Why not ask for something better to tame in the wild, or maybe just ask for a profession to get fixed sometime in the near future? Maybe if people stopped calling for nerfs of other professions and instead called their own to be fixed the devs would no longer be able to dance around the topic. As it stands now they can, because they are doing something, they're re-balancing the combat system because people screamed nerf. The combat system worked, maybe it needed rebalancing, maybe not, but personally i would rather see all broken professions working before others were nerfed. just my opinion.

Its rather simple why BE pets are better.

BE have a market.

That market is CH.

No market in CH + BE = useless proff with absolouty no point.

Which is why I've said in other threads that BE & CH should have been a hybrid profession. All the devs have done is create an adversarial relationship between the 2 professions with this Buy vs. Tame thing when instead they should be working hand in hand with each other. Is there any other profession that is so dependant on just oneprofession as BE is on CH? Something definitely needs to be restructured.

If the BEs could not make pets that were markedly superior to wild pets, what exactly be the justification for their existence? You can't have an entire profession dedicated to making pet stims. I know it sucks having to pay for top end stuff, but ... tough. If the Devs had made BE a working profession at the start, we wouldn't be having this discussion. CHs would have seen the way things are now as the way things are supposed to be. You can get some pretty sweet animals for FREE. How is this a complaint? Have CHs "moved down in the world", yes. No market for pets? Fine, this is as it should be. CHs were primarily selling trained pets to Dabblers, and if the Dabblers had to go, so did the Dabbler Market. Yes, I realize the Graul Maulers are shadows of their former selves and GSPs have been castrated. Here is my advice. Take those pets you got for free, go kill some stuff, get a 25k stack of high quality meat, and trade it to a BE for an uberpet.

ok, first of all let me get the rational part out of the way.

BE pets are better than tamed pets for the same reason an FWG5 you buy from a weaponsmith will be better than the one you looted from a meatlump. sure the second one is free and found in the wild, but the first is better. its all part of SOE's big plan of making player crafted goods better than any looted items.

secondly, being a MCH i noticed a few things. number one: taming stuff really isnt all that hard. you mask scent, you walk up, you tame, you store it, you walk away. week later youve got a fully grown new pet. the only time i ever was proud of getting a pet in the wild was finding a squall on rori i believe it was. it was just so cute and when i pulled it out people went "where did you find that" and id say "rori" and feel good about myself. of course it had around 1k HAM and no resists. and number 2: the only pets i actively quested for were the "best" combat pets. now i can buy those just like a rifleman buys a rifle.

thirdly, being a MBE i noticed a few things. number one: being a BE sucks. grind it out and and give it a try yourself. sure, its new and exciting, but its also the least documented and most mysterious profession in the game. everything a BE finds out about their profession is likely from the BE boards housing 6 months worth of testing BY THE PLAYERS. they didnt tell us anything. we figured it out for ourselves, andmost of thepioneers in the area are mostly clueless.number 2: the market BE's have is incredibly small. no one has CH anymore because everyone thinks that without maulers life as a CH is worthless. and the remaining CH's will buy anywhere from one to five pets and never return again. number 3: that uber pet you just bought from my vendor? i spent 4 hours getting the DNA for it. four. hours.

theres a very good reason why BE pets are better than anything tamed in the wild. CH's need it, and BE's deserve it. plain and simple.

BE pets are just a over-reaction to the former crappiness of that profession and a miscalculation of what theformer standard that CH had.

Our much desired rares if I'm not mistaken only have AR 1 and 35% kinetic at most. These are our highest CL'd pets up to CL 65.

We still havea D. merek avenger with AR1 and 45% kinetic, that is sadly our best tankeras apet, only cl 40 btw, which doesn't make that much sense either.

A BE are able to make cl 35 pets that are ar1 and 60% kinetic.

Explain to me why these extremely high CL'd RARE pet are worthwhile or why should they be rare in the first place.

Unless it's just to give the seasoned CH's a reason to login, for the thrill and despair of the hunt/chase.

Well has kept me from canceling, atleast for a while.

Bought a year in advance. I'll know better on the next game and there will definately be a move to another game, doesn't matter what occurs here.Just a matter of time.
