Thread: 19 Questions: Next Question
My alt toon is an MDE. In the course of perusing the DE forums today I came acrossed a post that made me cringe as a CH. The exploding MSE Droid. I will provide a link at a later time in the form of edit but I have to relate this story. It seems that an exploding MSE Droid can do upwards of 1K damage in PvP and 10K damage in PvE versus NPC's according to this post. While I do not argue for a nerf of these types of Droids, I do argue that we spend way to many Skill Points to be left in the cold. While this may not be the most frightening portion of this post in light that these droids seem to be able to defeat the the Jedi training on roof tops exploit. It is my impression that we CH cannot command Pets from outside a building. How is it that these Droids are commanded to go through a house to the roof then attack?
The DE have always stated with better Droids we would see Creature numbers dwindle. It seems to me that not only do they now have comparable Droids but in many ways far superior droids. I once jested about exploding Durni. I think the time has come to cease jesting. I want exploding Durni. Something that puts us back in some market. Combat Revamp or no, we are being left on the fringes of PvP. It is a mockery to participate in PvP. We do not have any capability of doing massive damage at any one time. Yet every profession with any combat ability can easily do 2K+ damage. I do understand the Combat Rebalance will change most things. For the time being however I want an Exploding Durni. Suicide Bomber Spat. Nuke Nuna. Detonationg Dewbacks. Warhead Worrt.
It is no joke. Give me some combat abilities NOW. This may be one of the last few posts I make in the CH thread. Starting Monday, I begin a new campaign on the Dev boards. If I can post in a thread I will very politely ask what is in each and every thread what is being done for CH. I will no longer lay here and rot in our own threads. I have politely asked for communication and we have none. This silence festers. Even the most well thought out posts have largely gone ignored.
I do want to make it perfectly clear I am not blaming the DE at all. But come on here like BH and smugglers needed more damage PvE. Both already have very effective KD's and high damage. A novice smuggler with 10K damage droid?
I know pluto better than that. He doesn't really want an exploding Durni but wants to show how now almost every profession has a Meaningful PvP purpose but CH. We went from the strongest profession to the weakest in 1 blow and we have remained at such a level for 6 months now and once again all we are hearing is "wait for the combat revamp"
I have said it before and I will say it again, the combat revamp should already be on TC and having the bugs worked out of it NOW!!! not months from now so we once again spend 1+ years getting combat working again!
Oh yeah Pluto PETA called, they want to lynch ya

It has just gotten old guys. It is a rollercoaster ride for sure. Be nice. Get frustrated. Yanno the worst part is a Novice Marksman told me, "I can't wait until they Nerf you". That was months ago in the name of a Combat Rebalance we got nerfed. Then they hand BH and Smuggler another 10K damage device. OK. Granted PvP may not be the best place to use these, but there are many mixed issues now. CH cannot command pets from outside buildings. A tactical use for a Police dog is to rush a building thus sparing its owners life. Police dogs are loved by their owners but it is a flushing technique.
These droids can apparently gain access to a house marked private. Get on the roof. And kill AFK Jedi. OK. In the name of fairness it might keep the Jedi population from exploiting that training method. But what Jedi in is right mind in this time period is going to hunt in public in order to train. The perma TEF will make for a nice change. And once it is in this should not be allowed. Droids should respond to the same general rule system as pets.
Maybe the question should be: "why don't the Devs communicate with CH?"
It is pure and simple. We have Vert communicating to them but we are not receiving any feedback from them at all.
Just one Dev for 2 days to answer questions. We could post them and he could print them out and come back the next day with answers. Would take less time than I spend checking in the forums and replying as quick as I can. Nothing real time. Unless they want to do an IRC chat with CH only one night. We can hook that up too.
And again Eric if wait until the Combat Rebalance is the answer why is everyone else getting new things? Powerful things? Fixes?

That sounds like a good idea, we should try and do that. Only prob with IRC is that you can't prove you are a CH and oftentimes important questions may not get through. If a dev could just print out the questions, that would give more time for them to prepare answers and get info they need on thier own time.
Meanwhile, we could suggest ways to help fix that autostore problem, such as the same thing they did with the BH terminal problem, they looked at or observed (no idea how exactly they did it) the jedi characters to find a solution to the problem. In short, they should work with us CHs and there are far more CHs than all the jedis of all galaxies combined and use every method they can do, and it seems like they haven't done all they can possibly do to fix the autostore problem.
Would the devs be willing to do this Vert, I think after all this time we deserve some answers.
My personal nominations come from the small but vocal minority in the community
Pluto, Transh, Siobible (major spelling mistakes here) Fantoq, Barb, tivo, Vert (of course), hell I will throw my own name in for **edit**'s and giggles
