okay, if you milk a savage humbaba in the wild you get wild milk. I want to milk my tamed savage humbaba and get domesticated milk. makes sense to me, why wouldn't they do this? afraid it makes milk too easy to get? just put in a long delay.

I guess I already know the real reason, and it anoys me. the real reason is the stupid planet specific resource thing. a savage humbaba on naboo gives different milk than a savage humbaba on corellia, and so they don't have a way to make consistant milking with tamed creatures. lame.

You can milk anything that has nipples.

I think the Devs were just thinking ahead on this one. Remember when BE's used to be able to sample DNA from pets? Milk, now, is pretty abundant anyway.

Now I don't have to spend my life's savings on a +Tame Mod Shirt or Pants. One of the few things the Devs got right in the recent patch.

And ThorBattlehammer's point was a movie quote, not an actual comment on your observation. At least, I'm fairly certain that was the intention.

Well, with the humbabas, you'd have a definite problem, as they are tamable in the wild on both Talus and Corellia. Also true with paralopes. Why they can't track which planet you tamed it on is a mystery to me, however, so it would always yield the appropriate resource for its planet of origin.

Oh, and do be careful milking the aggro beasties. I had just finished milking a rogue falumpaset, and it decided to aggro me. Later this afternoon I had too much fun with a rogue bagaraset on Corellia.

Is there any creature on Corellia that yields domesticated milk? Everything I've run across is wild, and I think I've hit all the herbivores except the swamp humbabas over the weekend. On Talus, the docile kahmurras yield domesticated. Gungan flalumpasets on Naboo yield wild...I would have expected them to yield domesticated.

I agree; we should be able to milk pets. It will have no effect on the big picture, since milk-bearing animals are so easy to find and all over the place. With a long timer, I don't think it would make any difference.

Except to allow me to finally buy that Bantha dairy farm and retire in style!
