I finally got the xp and became a novice creature handler but I can't seem to find any creatures that I can tame. Does anyone have any recommendations for low level creatures that can be tamed or does anyone know how I can tell the creature's level?

A higher level of creature knowledge will let you see what level it is. I'm not sure how much you need to have to get the CL to show though as I was well into the ranger tree before picking up CH.

www.SWGCreatures.com is an invaluable resource for the CH. They havea tremendousamount of up-to-date information on creatures in SWG.

Soon after picking up Novice CH, I bought a +11 / +11 taming jacket. Since then I've been taming stuff like mad. Admittedly it is still fairly low level stuff, but it does help.

So far I've tamed numerous Corellian Butterflys, Female Dire Cats, Giant Carrions, Kreetles, the list goes on.

So visit your local tailor and get some BE clothing. It will make a difference. My next shopping trip will include either a new new +25/+25 jacket, or a +14/+14 something else to give methe max of +25.

A few Scout related clothes wouldn't go amiss either. The more Masked Scent the better.

I had good luck with Mountain Krevols on Naboo. I found them in the mountains to the west of Keren... There are those that would suggest BE pets, but I enjoy the thrill of taming the actual creature also... But a BE pet may also serve depending on your financial standing...
