If you have been around these boards as long as I have, you will know that being nice does not work either. Alot of us old timers remember when we tried that months ago. We were still ignored. We have bugs that have been around since release. The general pattern from SOE has been ask for list of "Concerns" take list and do nothing, then turn around and ask for list of "Concerns" again. Rinse and repeat. This pattern has been going on since release. We never got any more attention to our polite, thought out, suggestions and requests than we get to the rants and flames. We still get nerfs and no fixes with every publish. Did you see anything in the latest note for CH? We got two mounts in the last one. In reality BE's got two mounts because they made the wild ones CL 11 and above. So, if a non-ch wants one they have to go to BE. Good for the BE bad for the CH. This is typical SOE behavior. They really want this profession to die out.

Gotta keep in mind this game requires alot of coding and recoding and for all that there is no reason they can't fix the droid issue over night either if that was the case. Not at all. There's a big difference between coding and updating tables. An SQL update or even an old-fashioned run through every record and change it takes only a matter of minutes to accomplish. I probably do a few a month in a wide variety of data types over several hundred K records and it takes no time at all. It does take the desire to do it, however. Shoot, you could filter through the 200 or so non-baby creatures by hand and set the hasbabies flag and frequency before morning coffee is done. But it has to make the project list.
As far as the two years go, look at the MMOGs that haven't made it that long. Making excuses for bugs being the norm is a poor answer. It's unacceptable. When I look at the scope of the space expansion, it's obvious that it is a lot of work. But you can't make the resources for this game that thin to build the SE and expect quality. It's not the devs, but management.
And the tenor of the boards is one of frustration and poor communication. Vertexon isn't an employee of SOE and what we see from employees is generally some diatribe about nothingness. Some vaguely written fluff lacking detail and knowledge. I forwarded one to a tech-writer friend who replied back that it was nice public relations work. Yep, baffle em with....
TH isn't even answereing his own threads anymore. We have tried mutiple stragies to get some answers while I won't give them away 1 worked for 1 post.
The problem at this point is that there is no real communication Between the players and SOE management.

Management - Devs - TH- Correspondents - players
we know the link is broken above the correspondent level, however we don't know how high. If TH were to post that he isn't getting answers he would be in jepoardy of loseing his job. So he just doesn't post so we will never know.
They hide behind the excuse of "we don't want to be flamed" well to provide an parellel that some can understand picture a Person who has baracaded himself into a house. You now have mutiple rescue and PD out side trying to communicate with said person who won't communicate. As time goes on do you think that PD is gonna get nicer or closer to breaking down his door and draging his ass out?
I think most people are at the Drag their asses to a computer and make them post some answers that aren't vaigue and subject to mutiple interpretations.

And think of all the nice things they have said about us? I wonder who started the flame fest or should i say the poke fest? TH is a coward plain and simple, JustG is out of touch with reality. I say it over and over what has happened is that the A-team is off SWG and onto SE because SOE is up to it's nose is doggy doo and needs to get another game on the market. I will not buy SE, at the moment I am seriously thinking of leaving. I have been playing the beta of COH and you know it has less bugs. I have hung on for a year I am still hanging in there but until some communication and bug issues are fixed being in game has become a no brainer. In fact I have been playing MVP 2004 on my own rather than get frustrated with SWG. Sad isn't it.
Notice you haven't gotten flamed, just mature well though out responses to your statement.
We aren't all drooling hatemongers that like to stir the pot as you can see. But when well thought out calm things are met by silence and indefference we get a little fiesty
