first off i am not much into PVP and usually only do so in self defense or in the odd starport duel or with friends for fun. i also want to state this is my experience to date using pets in PVP. for the last three weeks i have been experimenting with pet specials and their effects in PVE and PVP. pets as well all know do not do a terribly large amount of damage in PVE and for PVP its even worse, the area that pets shine in is their use of specials and state effects.

i originally made a macro for my rhoa kwi pack leader that continously looped its two specials one after the other. i observed that the kwi would posture down a beast in pve quite frequently and apply the dizzy state and do almost twice the damage it was doing before. i then decided to find out what a pet can do to an unsuspecting person in PVP. all i have tried to that point is /tellpet attack; this as we all know is a little less than spectacular in effect. my first test subject soon announced his intentions by wanting to duel me and my pet in the tyrena starport. at this time i had my MCH tag over my head and had recently dropped rifle to master smuggler and had just dropped smuggler after mastering. all i had at that point was marksmen pistols and a scout blaster.

so i accept the duel and send the kwi in with newly made looping specials and commence firing with the scout blaster. 30 seconds later incapped tkm and the kwi still had 3/4 life. i figured gotta be a fluke and i was just lucky. 3 more duels later with different unsuspecting people some coming after me some after the kwi and its MCH 4 random duelists 0.

dueling is not real life at stake anything goes PVP so i decide to be a little more active in putting myself in danger with TEFs while hunting with a jedi friend knowing this will surely draw lots of attention. i hunt off and on for a few days and finally this weekend we are out killing an enraged rancor lair and by this time i am TK 1244 and a couple of rebels come up with the intentions of taking on the lair we are working. one is sporting TKM and the other a MCH tag but turns out to also be a TK of unknown level. i square off against the TKM and my jedi friend goes after the MCH after they attack him from a little verbal sparring.

i sic my kwi on the TKM and give the looping special command and the TK is promptly dizzied and starts flopping like a fish i toss some intimadates at him, as i close to start attacking he gets up and starts damaging the kwi but due to my intimidate he is doing very little damage. he concentrates almost exclusively on the kwi and is wearing a mixed colour suit of armour. i proceed to launch my attack routine and he goes incap abou tthe sametime as my jedi bud initiates the DB on his opponent and i DB mine a few seconds later. checking the health on the kwi and he has taking only 900 total damage to health and mind..

now i have a new set of macros to split up the attacks into a combined macro that cycles both specials, one macro that only cycles special 1, and one that only cycles special 2. now im in waiting mode for the next unsuspecting person to test this new method of pet fighting on.

these are my experiences so far in using a pet in PVP and using it's specials. if another CH would like to try it that pvps more than me the macro is this...

/tellpet special1;

/pause .5;

/tellpet special2;

/pause .5;

/macro macroname;

kwi dont seem to be very rare to me. i have stumbled on like 5 or 6 of em in the past 3 weeks havent even been actively looking for them. so far i have milked 6 lairs for leaders and gotten 5 babies. i generally give them to friends or sell them i have one extra left.

i get them on dathomir. i only use the pack leader version in any sort of combat and just bacuse it looks mean and has a nice dizzy attack that sticks pretty damn good. the other types are pretty worthless.

i am going to ask a BE friend to see if he can meld the dizzy from a pack leader and the intimidate from a rancor on top of light armour and good resists into a gurreck skin. armourvulnerable pet.

i just want to make it uber clear. i am not a pvper by any stretch and generally only pvp once or twice a week and its usually self defense. these are my observations from very limited pvp experience. i hope it works for ya.

but nothing short of a doctor fire blanket or storing the pet or running it thru water will put comando burns out. nothing resists it either. even creatures that are immune to heat ala spellweavers take full damage from burning.
