i have some newly tamed pets and i am using them they have built up 28 training points for 1 and 14 for another 1 and 0 for the last pet.... So when are they gonna learn an ability if they have so many training points useable?

Read Drashk's sticky.
Think of "training points" as creature ability xp. You spend those to train them abilities. But you (as the trainer) have to know an ability to train. You gain knowlege of an ability by using a creature with that "innate" ability (it has it immediately after you tame it).
A new CH (including everyone who had CH prior to pub 21) doesn't know any special abilities. So you have to tame wild creatures, hope to get one with an innate ability, then use it for a while to learn it. Once you've learned it, you can teach that ability to any creature you own with the necessary training points and free ability slots.

So basicly just go out and find / tame as many babies as you can to learn your new abilities. now the big question is are the abilities based on the babies CL. example can a baby spineflap have the same abilities as a baby rancor in the wild? If so why not go mass tame low CL's and train them to get the specails you want (less time to max out there training and all).

It is much more likely to get L2 and L3 of higher level pets.
Also, you have to use the pets with the innate ability in combat before you can learn the ability they have for yourself.

i saw what the other post were but you misunderstood my question appearently... i asked if i could tell if they had the ability just by having them in the datapad..

zihowie: From my understanding (haven't played yet today with my brand new Novice CH), innate abilities show up as a trained ability on the creature's datapad description.
Drashk: just to save on your fingers, might I suggest one of these?
