If any one knows how to correct any of the bad/ugly stuff let me know.
I'm going to start with the ugly first. Add your own comments
The Ugly:
1. Having to regrind all of my pets. I know opinions differ, but this is a HUGE grind just to learn all the new abilities.
*****
2. Not knowing which special abilities I've learned from my pets without writing it down. (Is there a way to look at this?) I know I learned L2 Hamstring, but I can't find any list that tells me that I've learned this.
Edited to say this is no longer an issue for me.
*****
The Bad:
1. Not knowing weather a pet has a special ability before taming it.
2. IMHO the new training window should stay up so you can just dbl click the next command you want to train.
3. The difficulty of taming high level MOB's. Sure it should be somewhat difficult, but I'm hearing reports of people having to try for an hour to tame (By the way for these people another good option that some people seem to forget is to use pet taming food. Almond-Kwevu Crisp Munchies.. Spelling?). This wouldn't be so bad if we knew weather the pet had an ability we wanted to learn/train.
4. Still have the timers in. Devs, can we look at this and come up with a different/better solution?
5.
The Good:
1. Pets actually listen and attack a new MOB when I tell them to! Woot!!
2. I haven't had as much fun taming as I did last night in a long time.
3. Once I get done with the huge grind, and learn all the new specials this should/will make CH a viable/fun class.
4. I LOVE being a ch :-)
Last night was the first time I got to test it, and I didn't get a chance to learn any L1 abilities so I don't know how well any of the special abilities work. I only tamed 7 creatures, and 4 had special abilities. 2 of those had the same ability.

If you haven't already, be sure to check on the New pet system sticky.
To see what you already know, use the /train command, while not targetting anything.
It was a huge time saver when I figured that one out, while it the code was still on TC.

Woowoo, thanks. I guess I need to re-read the sticky. I read it but apparently was not careful enough.
Geeze it's right at the top too ;-p

Well, there is a lot of info to digest.
It took me a good 4 days of hitting the planets to track down a lot of information, but I also had a weath of information being shared by the folks on /tcpa, on TC-Bria.
BTW, I don't know how much this would help you with training, but I made a thread on a fairly useful marco that I put together, that works really well with the new Command window.
I've been using it for the last hour or so and have gained not only a ton of CH XP from training the throw backs, but have also saved a ton of time doing the training.
