Thread: You Can't Tame that(Need suggestions)

I have a friend who is all but giving up on this whole CU thing. He's tried several professions and decided he'd have a lot of fun with CH/BE. He is now master CH/MBE and apparently having lots of trouble. He tried taming several creatures on Tatooine and gets a 'you can't tame that' message. I came to the boards and found the list of tamable creatures and we set out for Endor. He then tried a Blurrg Hunter, Arachne Drone, and Blushing Jax and he gets the same message. He tried with maskscent, relogging, moving from the area and returning, all with no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've looked at several threads and all I see is 'don't use an auto-attack'. We have verified that he isn't using one.

Judging by what your not saying (the word baby) i am guessing he is trying to tame adults
only babies can be tamed
If this isnt the problem ask him to type /tame next time it resets itself and the icon works after
hope this helps
oh have him get bio clothes too helps the success rate.

No, he's trying to tame babies. I didn't mention that because I thought it was obvious. I guess some would make that mistake though. I'm about to logon his account and try it. I was a CH right after launch ages ago...we'll see if I have any luck.

dang forgot but since you were ch you may have known and asked him, is he using mask scent, a scared baby wont tame, used to give you a startled message a long time ago if i remember but not anymore.

I'm on his account and standing next to a Bolle Bol Colt (baby) and getting the 'you can't tame that' message. My scent is masked and I have not been aggroed by anything around the lair. I tried /tame to reset it and still getting the message. I see why he is frustrated.

The only thing I can say is he must be bugged, unfortunatly pulling a ticket is the only recourse, Ive been waiting two days for a csr.
sorry but there is no other reason I can think of he must be bugged

I had this same problem last night and logged a ticket. Got in game tonight, and the CSR said I must use /bug to report it so the devs can fix it - its official that it's a bug

bug and ticket filed. Next question....Is there still a +25 cap on taming clothes? I'm standing at a vendor and don't need to waste his money by going over a cap.

think so not sure, not sure about anything anymore lol
maybe when beta-live testing is finishes and debugged we will know lmao
sorry cant help myself, it amazes me how we can pay for a game in this condition.
