I was out on endor looking for some new pets and i came across a Blurrg Hunter baby so i tamed it after a while and started to head bck to the Starport but still looking around. My swoop ran right over 2 other Blurrg Hunters and since i had space i figured i might as well take them in. They agro'd me when i got off my bike and i noticed something strange...i was taking 90 damage from each attack from each baby with my armor on and a PSG?! so i tamed em thinking they were some sort of super babies but alas they were the same stats as the other one i tamed before...so how were they dealing so much damage? in fact the same damage as the adults were dealing? After testing and testing i think i figured it out. It seems that the babies deal adult damage when they use range attacks. Cause as soon as they go to melee they go from doing 100-300 damage they do 10-40. Works great in PvP too...doesnt seem to work on jedi though for some reason. Anyways i have ss of the combat but i don't know where i could post them so just send me to somewhere i could post the ss and i will if you want to see the ss otherwise go try it for yourself.

I noticed this way back, close to launch, my Spineflap Gaurd baby would cause adult damage with ranged attacks

I thought pet ranged attacks were Acid? Or was that just before the CU?

i dunno about that both my guids told me when a pet had rnaged attack it would say ranged yes (acid) and also if you think about it ranged attacks always did more damage then melee and armor was always weaker against acid... plus look at it its green and its spit..

They should of been acid by all rights though...not that it matters, the only damage types are kinetic and energy with the elemental tagged on the side :/.

Ive never even heard of that before.
Testing was doen awhile back in the old system using armor with varying levels of resists and it was determined that ranged attacks were definately energy. The green spit is misleading but trust me on this one.

Adult baby bug
I am not sure if that bug is still in effect but it gave babies adult dmg and the ranged attack as those blurrgs have. Even when this is still in effect the HAM would still get them killed fast so the only advantage is for a few moments would have 3 baby dmg dealers.
