Thread: A MCH Ideas To Improve The Class

I Have been a MCH for 11 months now I have truged through nerf after nerf after nerf. They want to know what will make Creature Handler Better. LOL well I think they have to go back to the starting line and start over. Some of the changes were good most have destroyed the class. I would like to see some postive changes for CH But I think we as a class are on the bottom of the list of things todo.
1) FIX INCAP RECOVERY!!!!
2) Add some kind of vetanarin skill so we can heal wounds on pets
3) Get rid of transfer a worthless command
4) Let us drop out pets in a Deed form in our homes or allow us to the option to add to a vendor to sale the pets we tame.
5) Let us see the lv of the creature. the ranger can tell but we bing one with creature can not until it is in the data pad? Never understood that one
6) bring back the armor rating for pets tamed in the wild
7) Redo the pets resiest increasing them on higher lv pets
8) allow us to Buff our pets other than Pet Food another worthless deal there
9) Give us more combat command like Bezerk and embolden. Could be some thing like Savage bite allowing the pet to do 2 to 3 times normal damage cycling every 15 or 30 seconds
10) How about a Pet Coustom Kit allowing us to change thier colors or allow Image desginers to change the pets colors
11) Bring back the Pets that no longer spawn. That made a Diffrance in PVP
12) Adding Pet Armor in the game made by Armor smith
13) you could add a Skill like Pet Hurding a Passavie skill that allows the pet to Hurd one creature from a group to a nother spot. This would of course take 2 pets to do and could be the same lv or higher than the Creature.
14) More Pets in our data pads would be nice
15) Increase our max lv of pets from 70 to something Higher,
16) The chance to tame an adult making very hard to do but possible.
17) You could come up with a command Aid Master the pets would rush to the aid of the Creature Handler even if they are fighting some thing or some one elese.
18) Add monsters with Higher Armor than Light.
19) Add new Pets to tame or buy from a BE tamming the same old pets for a year is well getting very Old
20) Add some of the Cat Creatures like the Grand Wrix or Greater Sludge Panthers as mounts
21) Add a Riding Skill to the CH tree so they will be more inclinde to use mounts than speeders
22) Add Some kind of Combat Skill Like mabey Pack attack where in using this command the pack of 2 to 3 Creature do a massive amout of damage on a target on the 1st strike reuseable ever 60 secs or once per target.
23) Allow us to use special attcks while mounted you could make it a CH skill only you would see more people using Mounts.
24) allow the 4th pet back on the field I know this is not going to happen but I fella can always wish.

These are all great ideas and I think they would help the CH profession but I am worried we may be asking for too much in the short term. I mean realisticly, whether we like it or not, (and I don't!) the devs are focused on JTL and have little cycles to spend fixing the ground game. I would suggest we focus our requests to get the biggest bang for our megar buck. Fixes that would require little coding but get us a large benefit. I see four things that jump out after reading all the suggestions on the boards. Here they go:
1. Up the controlled CL to 100 so we can have out 2 wild Gurrecks like the old days.Gives a moral boost, a little bit of power boost without going overboard and would take relatively little coding.I think the entire boost should be at the MCH box to keep it simple and balanced.
2. Up the number of stored pets by 4-6 pets.This could be distributed through out the training tree and would help ease the pain of many CH's having to change out pets based on the balancing that has occured.Would be a huge moral boost and help both lower level CH's and MCH.
3. I believe they should lower the store time after combat from 60 seconds to 15seconds.I see no reason why it needs to be 60 seconds.There needs to be a timer to stop the peace out store pets recall new ones but 15 seconds in a duel or PvP situations is forever and would more then cover that need.60 seconds is just too much.This would help the joy factor in playing CH and allow us a better chance to have groups accept us and our pets while running missions. Waiting 15 seconds while we put away pets is much better before you hope on your bike to the next mission, if that is the way you run thing, usually is in groups.
Just my thoughts and what I feel will be doable. I really wish we could get the list you put together but timewise I just don't see them doing it.

You got alot of really good ideas there. I like em alot. I been a MCH since first month of game and was one in beta as well and I can say with sincerity that the Creature Handler prof has been nerfed into obscurity. I remember when about 50% of the game was creature handlers so i know why many of the nerfs came. I just think its time to give something back to Ch's now. Mounted combat would be a HUGE step forward. as would the option to customize, armor-up, and/or store more pets OUTSIDE of our datapads. Cat mounts would be sweet as well. Id love to see the day when a master Creature handler could give a good race to a player on a speeder because the CH gets speed bonuses from his prof. That would be golden. The single thing the devs cpould do right now to make CH's a viable combat prof is to remove the bogus and totally unwarrented reduction of pet damage by 75% when in PvP. I cant believe thats still in place. Can someone tell me why?!?!?
Ill never surrender my master CH status but i sure would love to see this prof gets some much deserved love. =/

LoL I had more to say but my two year old hit the Enter on the Key board. Yea I agree. It took me months to find a pet I could use in PvP and he is so beat up it is sad. I For one would love to beable to Talk to the Dev's Insted of just posting man I have so much to say to them. But Here is waht scares me about the up comming Patches we should beable to to be better in PVP. Until the people who think CH is a Joke start to Cry and then we will have a Nerf comming down the Pipe for sure so I think we as MCH's and CH's should brace for it. The cool thing is that I have seen more Jedi than MCH on Bria. So I guess that makes us Special.
