Creature Handler Archive

Hey there everyone! I'm looking to talk to and hopefully make some Creature Handler friends on the Corbantis server. I know, I know - maybe this should go on the Corbantis forum. Let me explain why I'm here instead of there

I played SWG during beta for about a month leading up to release. I helped test as best I could and thought the game had great potential. I played for all of about two weeks after the game went live. It was just not finished IMO and for various reasons I wasn't having much fun. So, I took a year off

Ok so for some reason I really get the bug to come back and try things out again. Hmm, what sort of profession do I want to persue? Well ya know I always thought being a Creature Handler would be a lot of fun and very different from the "normal" paths to take. Ok, so I hop on the forums to do my research. Hmm. I know they were way over powered compared to other classes originally and ah, yep, they got beaten within an inch of their lives with the nerf stick. Fine, I really don't care about being Uber(TM) and am only in this because it sounds *fun* so I'm gonna go for it.

I'm gonna try for Master Creature Handler, Master Rifleman and Master Scout. Scout only because I want to take the tracking line of Ranger since it sounds perfect for my desire to track down the elusive and wonderous critters out there. I'm currently a novice Rifleman working on my first additional skill in that tree. I'm also about 1/5th of the way through the novice creature handler skill itself. Kinda funny how anxious I am to begin my life as a Creature Handler in ernest.

I've read all the threads I can find of interest in this forum. I've re-read some of them. I've talked to a couple of people in game about the state of affairs surrounding CH. I have a good idea of what I'm getting into here. What I don't have is anyone I can work with while actually playing that is currently a Creature Handler.

Here's where you come in

Is there anyone here who's a Creature Handler on Corbantis that would be willing to take an apprentice in the more general sense of the word? I don't want money. I don't want my hand held. I just want someone who can offer some guidance and understanding when all the rest of the world seems not to care about CH anymore. Train me when I'm ready to progress (hey, apprentice xp for anyone not yet an MCH!)

Argh, this is a longer post than I meant for. Sorry for the length, but I just wanted to show I'm serious about it all and not just a dabbler!

Thanks, I'll send you a tell/email next time I'm in game. Not a lot of responses here and since I never seem to see Corbantis mentioned in this forum I'm wondering if it's just not a popular server for creature handlers

On another note, I made novice CH last night I gotta learn not to start my play sessions an hour before I need to head to bed though, ugh LOL. Had to make novice CH and of course I couldn't just leave it at that - I had to then go tame some critters! I'm now the proud owner of a chuba (my first pet heh,) a large chuba and a squall that I bought off the bazaar for fun.
