From what ive read , CH was nerfed due to wild creatures being to strong , and low level CH's being able to control too powerful pets .
if thats the case maybe this is a simple solution .
The addition of pet stat boost at certain CH skills.
Creature Training 2 : At this level of training the CH has taught his pets how to attack more effectively .
Pet skill boost : Creature min/max damage increase +10%
Creature Empathy 2 : At this level of skill a CH has learnt to take better care of his pets physical needs , making them tougher .
Pet skill boost : Creature Resistances increase +10 % ( ie a pet with 50% would gain 10% of 50% , resulting in 55% )
Creature Management 2 : At this level of skill a CH has taught his pet how to avoid damage in battle , thus resulting in an overall HAM increase .
Pet skill boost : Creature Hams increase +10%
Creature Training 4 : At this level of training the CH has taught his pets how to attack even more fiercely.
Pet skill boost : Creature min/max damage increase +20%
Creature Empathy4 : At this level of skill a CH has learnthow to get his pets into top physical shape, making them much tougher .
Pet skill boost : Creature Resistances increase +20 %
Creature Management 4: At this level of skill a CH has taught his pet how to deflect most attacks in battle, thus resulting in a great overall HAM increase .
Pet skill boost : Creature Hams increase +20%
This would mean wild creatures could stay nerfed , you would have to basicly master CH to gain all the boosts .
doesnt this seem like a viable solution ?
notes: i left the Training coloum alone seeing as you get the special attacks ( if the commands get fixed too ) , and you get the vicious creature bonuses which allow for more powerful creatures to be tamed in the first place .
also i think these boost should only be applied to wild tamed pets , and not BE ones , as BE pets stats have already been greatly increased .

just some after thos , this would make CH very simular to teh way other proffesions get weapon stat increases via skill boxes , ie pistol speed and accuracy increases on top of the wepon stats .

Great idea.
Now the question would be is it within the codeing ability of the devs?

Excellent Idea. This would give a solid boost to CH without having wide spread game changes to creatures. It would also be more in character with a CH as training and improving your pets once you tame them. I like it a lot!

Wish I had edit...
The one thing I don't quite see is the comment about not allowing this for BE Pets. I am a big roleplayer and I always try to look for howan abilityfits with the class. I could see not including BE Pets if when tamed they were full grown but we have to raise them to adulthood the same as wild pets. The other way this bonus could be worked in is in the innate skill of the handler but that too I can't see a clear reason to exclude BE pets since you are working with and commanding both the same. The BE pets just happen to be enhanced geneticly, otherwise they are really just normal creatures, with unique genes. I can understand trying to gain some of the power and value back to the wild pets over BE but I think their are much better ways to implement that. I think it is a excellent idea and really hope it is implemented because I think it helps fill a void in the class that up until now we only get more creatures in essence as we go up the tree, but our abilities to train (enhance) and control them is somewhat limited. Just my thoughts...

Great idea, however, here's the problem. They...(the devs)....just.....don't....care. I've seen literally hundreds if not thousands of ideas in the last months/year concerning CH, I don't think many if any were ever implemented. If you're not a Jedi, then you don't count. Feel free to post away your thoughts, but the Devs either (A) will never see it or (B) not act upon it.

nice ideas and everything but since the CH revamp has already taken place, I doubt any of this will change, unless they tweak it a bit during the "great combat rebalancing" we are expecting.
It is my understanding that CH already underwent their changes for the combat rebalance back when everyone cried nerf. Now, other combat professions will be adjusted, using CH as a guideline.

i dont agree ,
if you follow that logic , lowering the stats of one thing or another eventually all professions will be doing 1 hit point of damage and there will be novariation in the game .
besides if you nerf armour and remove buffs .....high end NPC's will become impossible , even with large groups.....and with the updates over the last few days they have made NPC's even tougher.
besides creatures should be a CH's weapon .....they shouldnt just be a lump of meat to take hits .

i also dont see why the DEV's wont see this , Vert being theCH coro should pass on all info for the CH's to the DEV's , if they then choose not to use it , then thats up to them .
I really belive that all professions should follow the Rock Paper and Scisors princpal
Profession A can beat > Profession B can beat > Profession C can beat Profession A >.......ect......
at the moment Master CH cannot beat any other Master Elite Combat Profession...not even Rifleman who sould not be able to kill our pets so easy at point blank range .( hell our creatures can be killed by somebody who has Pistols 4 and novice medic .)
also why cant some of our pets get an Armour piercing rating , creaturs such as rancors , spider queens , with sharp claws and fangs should be abel to tear through armour .

GRRR! you people just don't get it. It's not our profession that needs fixing, it's the combat balance. The reason why people find CH useless is because why would anyone need a pet Tank when they can tank themselves wearing 80% kin res Compo armor,d octor buffs and brandy? It takes precious skills away to get Novice CH or Master CH. Those skills used for CH to have pets tank for you could of been used in another combat profession or medic.
I love Master CH, not because they tank for me, but because I enjoy collecting pets and owning lots of different types of exotic creatures. I used to love CH because they would tank for me... but not anymore. My BH (which is supose to suck in Melee) can tank 3 Enraged Rancors and the only thing that will stop me from hunting Enraged Rancors is the disease wounds! Other than that, I'm invinsible.
