I would like to see some sort of quick and temporary way to "tame" a creature you are in combat with. (similar to the way Crocodile Dundee could befriend wild dogs and such with his sheer will... ) This quick and dirty tame would allow a CH who is being overwhelmed to use his sheer will to control the creature, sending the creature who was just attacking him back into the fray against his enemies.

Something less than complete and total domination over the creature as we have now. This would be a Temporary Pet Control Device that would last for a set amount of time.. maybe 10 minutes at Master CH.

Some ideas for these Temporary Pet Control Devices:

  1. Allow the CH to exceed the 70 CL limit

  2. Not allow the CH to exceed the 3 active pet limit

  3. Not give the CH complete control of the pet - ie. no special moves, only basic follow/attack, etc.

  4. Temp pets would automatically understand these basic commands. (no training required after the tame)

  5. Temp device would last anywhere from 1 - 10 minutes depending on skill level of CH.

  6. Creatures currently in combat with the CH can be "insta-tamed" in this manner

  7. Creatures to be tamed would need to have a certain amount of each of their HAM, say 90% or more to be affected

  8. Difficulty level, creature level, & the CHs taming abilities/bonuses/skill modswould all play a factor in how long these tames last and how quickly the creature can be brought under the CHs control.

  1. Normal taming methods (ie. complete creature domination) would not be affected

  2. Gives the CH something to do during combat if he has no other combat professions.

Any comments, thoughts, or suggestions to the proposition?

Sorry, but the pet control device idea sounds about as dumb as the faction PvP day pass Thunderheart thought of...

Something very similar to this is already a Jedi ability. "Animal Attack" in the Force Subjugate IV skill.

I'm not sure if this has been changed since Publish 9 was on TC2, but I don't think there was a level limit back then (I read one account on the forums of someone temporarily ordering krayt dragons to attack each other... not sure if there was any substance to that story).
